Simply stated, the show was great. Christine, Gayle and crew worked really hard and the event was great. We can always find little things to criticize if we look hard enough. Those that were unhappy can always put a bid in and try their hand at running the show next year! No, seriously, awesome job guys!

I definatly have to say that this show was AWESOME, everything was very well organized and the volunteers did a great job! Everybody got a trophy, which was great as well. Definatly the best I have been to so far. The volunteers worked VERY hard and it definatly payed off. GSD newbie, I saw that dog as well, she definatly FREAKED out at the gun test and bolted back to her owner. Not just a suttle reaction, she had a full on meltdown. I thought for sure, she would be thrown out for failing the gun test...but guess it was her lucky day. I think the judge probably didn't notice. She would have been dismissed at any regional.

Well I would like to add my comments to this event. I don't post too often due to lack of time not lack of interest:) I was there, and thought the show was put on very well, it's a LOT of work for such a small team, Chris Gayle and several others did a great job...I must comment that the "Toilets" were a JOY not a NIGHTMARE and LO and BEHOLD a station to wash one's hands!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Food was excellent. The rings were a bit small for the multitude of dogs....major crowding, and double handling was "life threatening":):):) BUT we survived:) I thought the bitework of the males was weak, some ran off the field, not always the dogs fault as the handlers made many mistakes as well... but I am new to the showring and not sure what's "acceptable". The females did MUCH better. :) I do not like to see this, should not be IMO..... I did not do well, but it was not my little girl's fault but rather mine as I did not prepare her properly for this event...however, for "fresh off the boat", she learned very fast, within 24 hrs, to make me proud of her and her handler anyways. We WILL be prepared for the next time.:) It was good to meet Heinz Scheerer in person, as I have had business dealings with him before, a very nice gentleman " and easy on the eye too":):):) It was also good to have support and encouragement from one of our biggest breeders on the continent! Greatly appreciated! All in all, a very good experience, and a lesson well learned:) Also as someone else mentioned, each judge sees things differently. These were the views of Herr Schweikert and Herr Scheerer. It would be nice if ALL dogs were critqued, not just the top 5 or so...but then it would have probably been midnight:) Michele
