Maverick, I guess how much time a dog spends swimming depends on the patience of the owner and the dog's love of water. Maybe ten (10) or fifteen (15) minutes every two (2) days or so?
I used to live near a large pond, so mine went swimming whenever I allowed them. It seems that after ten (10) minutes most dogs have had enough. I know this is not much of an answer.
