Kathy did I stimulate a nerve! Why defend your self so much? You at Working Dog Clubs? Do Not Make Me Laugh!LOL You are a working dog person now are you? Who are you kidding! Take some advice use this board for knowledge, YOU and your friends need IT! P.S. Infatuated with show people never! You shouldn't be so envious of others, nasty habit! THEY will not let you play in sand box any more!

Debby, not sure what you get all twisted about. One helper out of twelve that are on rotation is not going to ruin the breed! Nor the day of bite work at the BSZS. If the judge accepted the helpers performance on that day, then do your part of the sport and yes, voice your opinion, but then accept the judges decision. If the helper work was not satisfactory for the SV officials, chances are that fellow will not be invited back. If the SV officials see no problems with it and invite him back, then neither should you. If you do, address the SV. What the heck is anyone here supposed to do about a judges decision? And a judges interpretation of the rules? Lets wait and see if he appears again in one of the following years and if his helper work is going to be the same. If he never appears again, then your headaches is answered, isn't it. At such a large event, no SV officials will nitpick with any of the contributing factors. If it irks you so much, do your part, become a helper, work your way up to do helper work at National level and then 'improve' the breed that way, if you really think that will make a difference. Then become a judge. Now there is a way to make a difference, isn't it? More so than shouting from the sidelines... Before you do any of that, show a dog at the BSZS, with the goal of not 'just' participating, but taking top honors. Walk in someone elses shoes for a day. Then come back and share your experience. I would love to hear a personal account of how much protection and ring training you did beforehand. How many dogs you presented. Because its soooo easy to focus on just one dog when most people who show there do so with a whole string of dogs, who all needed to be prepared. How nervous you were and how unpexpected your dog behaved on that day bcause of it. And if your dog passed or failed the bite work... How about it? You are already spending the funds travelling there, what is stopping you from attending with a dog next year and show us all how its done properly!

D.H.,thanks for your posts. Your knowledge is well respected. Its people like you that make the difference. Thanks for posting on this Board! I think Debby wants to be a inter-net Know it all! Bashing others, when the game does not go her way, like her buddy tcmits/Kathyp/Who ever! Both of you should try to be part of a team! I know its hard when you want to be where others are on the team. But,you both have to sit the bench and haul water, learning the game first before you play in the BIG LEAGUES. Being envious of others is not a way to be part of the team, nor is trying to impress others who can see the light and play the game! Just having a Web Site and selling GSDs and going to the BSZS does not mean you are a stars! Maybe in your own minds! Sorry All, I just get so tired of these self proclaimed want-to-bees and their holyer than thou statements and attacks. LOOK AT THEIR WEB SITES! I just had to get involved!

The subject is not my experience now or in the future. The subeject is following the rules. There will be a day soon that I will be at the BSZS. Was scheduled this year, but the airlines wanted $1,500.00 to ship my dog. I will plan the trip next year with a different airlines so as to be more cost effective. I have no qualms about partisipating with syle. The fact that you want to make excuses for the poorly trained dogs, or the dogs that just do not have what it takes, shows you do not care. Trying to pat me on the head and turn it into a challenge for me as opposed to making it a challenge to all who partisipate is pathetic. I do not need a challenge, I have been working toward that goal. Whether you want to admit it or not there are plenty of Germans who agree with me and are working on drives in their show dogs too. It is the people who will not own up to the fact that there is a problem, stick their head in the sand and follow along the same old path, that will continue to ruin the breed. Debby
