Het, You have both show and working, Grafental is eastgerman, nice girl

by Charlie Ivory on 04 November 2004 - 19:11

wondering where you might have got her?

by Het on 04 November 2004 - 20:11

oh she is a back yard breeder. she didn't do ofa on her female, but let me take her to my vet and have an x-ray done befor I bought the pup. i have two dogs out of the mother Ilka. She has bred brother to sister (said it was an accident) but she had only the mother for a long time and bred to nice males then kept a male and a female out of some of the other litters those two bred, and she got madd at me because I wouldn't help her sell the pups. She doesn't train, show, or even take her dogs out of the yard. I just happend to get lucky.

But I am now taking Private lessons and don't deal with the club issues....some are great but most suck, at least in this area. And we are doing great. I am really hoping to take her to a sch3...she can do we will see if I can. lol. I am also working my black female pup she is just perfect. she is now on the sleave at 7 months and we get to do something new almost every time we train. She is here also. Ursala von Draggahaus

http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/396871.html Here is her link. I have her brother still that I am looking for a working home for. He was to much dog for his owner, he is fixed so will not be a breeding dog, but so far he is just like his sister. very high prey drive and extremely outgoing in all situations. I do have some show line females and they do mature slower and still have prey drive but it is not like the working lines...so I totally understand the difference, but I do love working with all my dogs. I also do herding, and agility.

I also had a female show/working mix from a backyard breeder.Sire line Quax Ahauser Schloss to Quando Arminius/Pischa Bad-Boll,Dam line Igor Stolzenfels to DDR Bodo Grafental.Turned out to be a phenominal SAR dog.Working day and nite at the WTC in smoke, noise, dust on sharp wet unstable footing, her enthusiasm and focus really impressed me. She loved schutzhund almost as much( she blew the horn in the truck until they let her jump the line and get on the field and get her fangs on some sleeves)Is it possible there is something to this work/DDR cross? Where can i find another dog like this?(she died of lung cancer 1 year ago)
