well i actually assumed you were, can;t remember why/how/when i thought that. might have been the end time prophecy fixation you have in posting.

When I first came to Christ I went to a Pentecostal church.

I never did join or become a pentecostal.I prefer to be known as a follower of Jesus Christ.

Personally I believe that the Watchtower is one of the biggest cults in Canada and the USA.

I did have a lot of confrontation with  JW'S when I lived in OSHAWA ON.

They used to show up in front of the  food kitchen for the street people on the

main street of Oshawa every Sat. morning.  I invited some of the JW. to my home.

We had some real discussions. The wife and I  showed them that what they have been tought was not

what the Bible teaches.  They did read and teach out of their own translated bible,which to me

was a blasphemy againt my Lord and saviour Jesus christ. The wife and I brought one of the  ladies that visited us,out of their organization,

And led her to faith in the real Jesus Christ,

and then JW'S put us on a no visit warning.I must say tho,If  the Christians were as dedicated to their faith

that the JW'S  are, millions would get saved every year.

big JW community where i live, hang out with one family a bit. when off duty they are really nice, just like regular people. they told me a few things out of church how my home has been flagged as dangerous or whatever after my dogs went after them and had them dive into their vehicle with dogs like crazy animals jumping on to their vehicle scratching up the paint while they scrambled to get the windows up and high-tail it.

 

i do think on a logical level they make a lot of sense denying the trinity concept, that one always baffled me.

awkward for them to discuss their long list of failed armagedon dates, so many let their lives and businesses run down cos, whats the point, the world is gonna end soon and then....it didn't.

the JW'sare mostly considered harmless and are tolerated well - the problems are for some of the young'ns who want out. the remaining mix here is almost exclusively catholic. of late there is the hand clapping xian rock singing, speaking in tongues evangelicals, both the catholics and the JW's pull together and dismiss them as cultish short term money grabbers. the young like them cos they are always organising "free" play days to amusement parks, skating events and anything that the young find interesting they are doing, they get a lot of people in that seem to leave just as quick as they join.

 

a bit further out we had a jesus commune that spoke only aramaic and worked for free in the community doing whatever people asked them to. i think they live like the original xians did in acts. soooooo much different and incongruous to any other xians they might as well be a different religion.

 

and of course we have an IT expert turned messiah who is buying up all the land and has started a fast growing and large church claiming he is jesus and his wife is mary, i asked him about sleeping with his mother mary as a bit odd.

funny thing all the groups claim they are right and the others are wrong, and they all quote the one about the way to heaven is narrow and the ways to hell are many (paraphrase).

ETA we also have a buddhist retreat in the bush here. they caught me poaching on their land and rang the cops but i was gone before they arrived. i thought they were against technology, how was i to know they had cell phones??

There is but One God, and there are no denominations to divide Gods people, the Jews and

the Gentiles, thru our inheritance by the grace of God

Man is the one who has written different man made doctrines and caused the seperation

Study and believe only Gods Word found in The King James Version
