Hi VK4

I hope you do not believe that I'm a follower of the Watch Tower.

Elijah’s therapy

In order for Elijah to revive and renew his strength, he needed to get away. He needed physical, emotional and spiritual rejuvenation. He had been so busy taking care of the needs of the nations that he had neglected the needs and concerns of Elijah the Tishbite. Elijah talked through his frustrations as he sat in the cave atop the mountain. In the midst of his feeling sorry for himself, God asked him point blank: “What are you doing here, Elijah?” God knew full well what Elijah was doing there. In fact, God helped him to get there! God listened patiently and non-judgmentally as Elijah poured out his feelings of anger, bitterness and self-pity. Notice what God didn’t say to the pathetic prophet: “Elijah, my prophets don’t talk like that!” God didn’t make him feel guilty for his feelings. Instead God listened to him and accepted him.
What happened to Elijah happens to us, especially when we pay much more attention to negative events than to all the good that is happening around us. It happens when we are very hard on ourselves, and take ourselves far too seriously, and God not seriously enough! God intervened in Elijah’s state and reminded him that his vision of life, his understanding of events, his view of God were terribly distorted.

Where is the first place we should go when we are depressed?

Matthew 11:28-30
"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

Psalm 61:1-4
Hear my cry, O God; attend to my prayer. From the end of the earth I will cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For You have been a shelter for me, a strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in Your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings.

Dave Wilkerson is a first hand testimony of his life as a teenager preaching in the streets to drug addicts and saving them from death by drugs etc. HE started his own ministry at a later date but wrote a book that every man and woman should read no matter what faith or who you are....the title is  The Cross and The Switchblade... David does not preach a denomination., he preaches Jesus and the Word and salvation to all no matter who you are..

Sadly, in 1911 David Wilkerson was killed here in Texas, not far from me in an Automobile accident and his wife died a few yrs later of cancer..

Dave Wilkerson  was my all time favorite preacher.

I had over 100 of his pulpit series cassets, and sent them all over the world to

people I met on the internet.  Carter Conlen I believe now is the head preacher at Time square church.

Carter is a former police  officer in N.Y.

In one of his sermons  Wilkerson  admitted that he had a thorn in his flesh,

which was speed. He loved to drive his cars very fast.

I enjoyed his book the Vision he wrote in 73. most all that he wrote in the book so far has

come to pass.

He lived in the streets also , not just a clean kid or man who would be not taken seriously.\

He was a wonderful teacher and his Vision is based on truths from Gods word. And yes, several of them have come to pass, and the Word has many things we need to be aware of..GODS word has the answer for everything..but you have to receive it and read it and ask help to understand it..That is what the 3 in one means..GOD the Father, God the Son and God the Holy spirit which is who we let guide us , because our Father left the Holy spirit here , if we ask Him to come into our hearts and dwell, and heed His calling, asking and praying, we will be able to learn and understand the BIBLE much better..NOT all is revealed to us, we just have to walk by Faith not by Sight and ask for God to show us the way..GOD opens doors if you are a positive force, but He does not use baseball bats or force to do any of His bidding..But HE WILL  correct you and make you Honor and obey him and all is done in His time when He feels we need it or do not need what we ask..CALLED  be Humble..
