There is a "Nixi vom Kraftwerk" under their breeding females section of their website still.... Don't know if this is the same dog. Regardless VERY sad that these dogs are sitting at a rescue.

There is also a "Xaesar vom Lisdorferland" on their site as well:-(

Nice looking dogs.

Jenni...when will you go pick one of them up?

Oh, mylanta, Ace. I have enough rescue animals to deal with. Besides, that's a tad far of a drive from Chicago.

I am not really surprised, considering the source. Throwaway mentality.

How incredibly sad;  does he have a tatoo??  Do we know where he came from, they might want him back.  Wished I could take him in;  hopefully with any luck he has several good years left.  Obviously the present owner dumped him but what about other people in his life?  Or did he bite someone or something, even so, they have obviously temperament tested him or he would not be offered to the public.  Why are they waiting 2 months before they come forward for our help?  Pisses me off they wait so long.  JHC.  Call us the moment the dog comes in and we can start working on rehoming immediately,  not 2 months later,  that is inexcuseable.  I will hope someone adopts him.  Keep us posted.  Please.  Nan

Yes, that is definitely Wayne Curry in the video.  That was shot at his facility in Rochester, Washington, from the background.

The dog is SEVEN years old, that's why.

I have you all would call a pet GSD, but the dog is needing some life saving procedures that will cost over $15,000 and I do not have a lot of money. It is coming out a saving account which is to protect me.  Part will be on credit card.  Have been homebound as per the vet's orders, so no driving and having to use food storage items.  Dog is very old in addition, but one who needs to be kept busy and loved.  Dog gets all that and more.  No I cannot take in more dogs.  Would love to do so, but duty to to old dog first.  Vet staffs love this sweet but a dog who has protected me without all the sch training.

A forever dog's owner.

Such a lovely corner of the world for dogs up there, Mystere. Yuck.

Totally tragic, to see such a fine dog (with some great training on him) be kicked to the curb. I should preface this by saying that even though I couldn't assume what the cirmcumstances are behind a dog like this ending up unwanted, that ageism isn't just a human tick...it appears in the K9 world as well. Some people just live by "planned obsolecence". One thing I've come to learn in the dog world (whatever work we are doing with our dogs), the dog world is small. Unless someone is of no fixed address, it's not hard to pinpoint the good from the bad. As I read some of the responses here, I am getting an education. As a GSD will be my next breed to work (sorry...not schutzhund, but SAR), I've come to learn that Kraftwerk is not a good name.
