Nuclear war is not a option it is a given. Peace in Isreal? real peace will never come to Isreal until the real King returns. All this is not new news. This is just another day in the trip of fullfiling prophesy. (which is coming to a head soon). It does not do any good to swat at flies when you are being trampled by elephants. What is important is who is covering you when you're in the storm. Isreal will be taken care of.

Russia just asked for the Russian Embassador to be removed from the States.    Not good...

You are going to give yourself gray hairs, RS. Political poker; nothing new here.

I remember taking Current Events or whatever they called it, in HS. My teacher at that time stated during a discussion, that this issue between Israel and the Palestinians, will never be resolved. That is really how the issue was addressed back then. Now it includes the broader description: Middle East. Going back to 1967 borders is just arrogance or ignorance. Also, how can anyone forget when the bombs started to fly from Iran into Israel and we were able for the first time to be observers of war in real time, and still be in our living rooms?

The only way to stop the killing will be when people are tired of doing the killing. So, yes, we all know we are doomed. The thing I don't understand from a literal Bible thumper POV, is why the obsession to pinpoint the time. Since it says in print that we will never know when that time is. So, that means whatever you think you have figured out, will automatically be wrong. That just makes me think people who dwell on this stuff, are wasting the good life that is right in front of them. If it all goes BOOM on us, the real problems imagined or not, will be evident right off the bat.

I already have gray  hairs, well a few anyway.  Tongue Smile
Fact is, this life is just a wisp, it's the next one that goes on for eeeeever and eeeeever.  As long as one knows where they are spending that one, all is cool. Regular Smile

Ok, I'll shut up now. Have a great day!

by beetree on 01 March 2014 - 20:03

RS: I hope you know I wasn't telling you to shut up. You go ahead and post whatever links you feel like. I just piped up with my .02 cents, is all. I hope you do have a great day! Teeth Smile

But, for any one else,  as a matter of fact, you just made me wonder: how do you know that you know where you are going, since that is a judgment left to God? He hasn't made a ruling yet! And won't until you are dead. See the catch-22  in that?

What you say actually saddens me a tiny bit, because I see it as such a dear loss for all thinkers of that vein. I mean really, think, if you were God, and you gave your kid the gift of life, which presumably has the purpose of being lived, and instead of living it, they said, "No thanks, I'll pass on this wisp of a one, because I know you have something better planned for later, that lasts for infinity."

He offers both, doesn't he? Might it be judged offensive, rejecting either gift?

RS, you don't have to shut up if you have a interest in a subject. There is a little more to it than we will not know the exact time or day. But the Jewish people knew and still know what day represents the "Day That No Man Knows The Day or The Hour" is. They celebrate it every year. And it will not end because people just get tired of fighting. It is also not about borders in Isreal. Ehud Barak while PM of Isreal agreed to go back to pre 67 borders and every thing the Palistinans wanted with the exception of one thing and that was Isreal will never give up Jerusalem. They refused. The Jewish people were mad because he offered them all the land back they had pre 67. Barak said correctly that he made the offer to show the world that it was not about land . It was all about Jerusalem. There was no way they would have excepted every thing they wanted without Jerusalem.

There is something to be said for picking your battles. I am guessing this isn't going to be another Syria.

Well, I heard Obama chatted Putin up for at least 90 minutes. And he is not about to consider intervening with force. The slow choke of sanctions. I get the feeling Putin just smirks and tosses back a nice smooth vodka and carries on with his day.
