Yes Autbobahn you are right.  We can sleep better tonight knowing that you work in the vet industry. lol   Judging by your previous posts their is nothing that you have ever contributed on this forum that is helpful, constructive, or even informative for that matter.  You cannot even comprehend a thread.  Instead you are talking about blaming a patient.  Nice to see that you are concerned about people who can afford their veterinarian bills to save their family member.  Maybe people shouldn't have kids just incase their child gets sick and they cannot afford a surgery to help them.  You sound like their is something wrong with you.  Obviously you are trying to make up for your shortcomings as a vet,  let alone as a human being.  You have no point to your comments except that you are looking for someone to acknowledge your existence.  I donated 5 dollars to the Mentally Retarded this morning on my way out of the A&P Supermarket.  Please don't spend it all in one place.  Maybe You shouldn't have been mentally retarded if you didn't have the money to pay for it.

Sockpuppet you're absolutely right.  The only thing was with this particular guy he had a nice personality so when you don't know any better this is what happens.  Now if he was a creep, like the vet you are talking about instead of just being a goof, then maybe my parents would have listened a little sooner.  Vets like the one you are talking about,  make it easy to walk away and find a new one.  When they are nice and seem like they have compassion you figure that you're in the right place. Too bad this place is a group of nitwits.

I'm sorry to post twice in a row but I feel the need to apologize for the things that autobahn said regarding people not be able to have a dog if they don't have the finances for the vet so that they can be ripped off.  I know that it's hard for a lot of people right now with job loss and other things that are going on and I would just like to say that this person should be ashamed of himself for even saying such a thing.  Right now this country is going through a really tough time and so are many of the families who have pets.  Please do not be discouraged by the things said by this person.  He is obviously a cruel, vile, and disgusting cut out of a human being.  If you love your pet then you give them all the love that you can.  A pet is not just a pet but a member of the family and when a member of the family is down you pick them back up.  When a member of the family is sick you heal them.  I hope that no one who read this persons post has any reservations about adding a family member.  Their are a lot of homeless pets waiting for a family and they need you.  Please do not be discouraged.  Every dog needs a home.  Whether you are wealthy or not wealthy all a dog wants is your love and attention.  I would just recommend being more cautious when choosing a vet so that you do not have to deal with the grief my family has had to deal with.  I also know that diet is key when making a dog as healthy as can be.  I learned this the hard way.  Don't believe everything you read about all these super foods like iams, and science diet because this is the leading contributer to your dog being unhealthy.

I don't trust most vets. Unfortuantely, it is the techs who are required to take courses in office management. The techs in private practice often get pay increases based on the amonunt of merchandise they can peddle. One reason that I never wanted to work in a private practice for long.
