Why would the bible of a loving God have to frighten people to begin with?

I don't fear my God. I will never get fear my God because there is no reason to fear him/her. The bible is so such about fear, murder and fire and brimstone.

If your God makes you fearful - is this someone you really want to be worshipping? Does the devilmake you fearful? This whole bible thing is bassackwards.

I do not serve a fearful GOD nor am I afraid nor do I do it because of fear...

I do not agree with scaring people into believing the BIBLE..

..I have no fears and I do not talk fire and brimstone..YOU must not have read the BIBLE.  YOu cannot pick apart one thing or another ..YOU accept it for the truth or not.. YOUR choice.

IT is not about ugly it is about JOy and passing it on..WHY do you try to point out negative..WHY Do you not find some joy in the BIBLE ..IT Is full of it.

Those that chose to follow the Obedience and LOVE of GOD have joy and happiness.. WE are not perfect and we have to ask for forgiveness daily and keep in touch like your family should look to you for guidance. If you have rules your kids follow and they love you for it..RIGHT?? Same way GOD wants us to do and no need to fear him...READ the BIBLE from Front to end and get in a BIBLE study and learn the happiness of being happy.

I have no problem with the joy in the bible but I have a major problem with the fear it tries to instill in people. True story when I read my son the childrens bible, he stopped me at one point and said dad if God is loving why so much murder, death, carnage and fear?

God killed/murdered everyone on earth in the great flood. Now you can argue he created and therefore he can end, so if I murder one of my children can I claim I created them? I doubt that would be any kind of defense. Plain and simple YOUR god is a murderer and fear monger. Maybe this is why people are so fearful of everything and everybody. Must carry a gun to protect myself, must lock all my doors because the boogie man may get me. And lets not forget the biggest fear - the devil is going to take me to hell.

So, YR your whole bible is built on FEAR. Hence the good and evil theme.

So, only the bible can make me truly happy, lolololololol.

Don't you get it, I am happy. Hell I am overjoyed at the absurdity of it all.

The Devil is hell  He is the ruler of it ...lol  He promotes living outside the norm and in a state of chaos and makes life very unhappy .

HE doesnt take anyone...NO one goes where they do not want to..Each human has a choice to be their own destiny..YOU choose to live your life as you want...

So many people have trouble making decisions about anything and their life too..THAT is where the weaker brother turns to the one who has the kindness and meekness to show them the way to a better way of living.

So, you competely ignore the fear factor with your above post. It is like you have been brainwashed and can't see nor deal with the murder and fear in the bible.

So, now there is no devil it is only hell. Which again takes us back to good and bad and the fear factor. The bible was written to help control the masses, pure and simple. It is about control, money and fear. The premise goes something like this if you are bad you go to hell and burn with the devil. Burn, which is probably one of the most painful ways of death there is, I wonder why that is the way? Why couldn't it just be you die - because that doesn't instill the same FEAR as burning to death.

No matter how you spin it the bible is packed full of fear. The theme is fear - either you believe or burn in hell. I doubt it personally and from what I have seen in my near death experience, it just doesn't work like that.

Your interpretation is all wrong..THE BIBLE says nothing like you post. Anyone who teaches as you posted is a false prophet in the biggest way,

GOOD!! HE shouts. BUT do not debunk millions of testimonies of people who do know the Lord and do believe and have the desire to share what they believe.

it does do good because it makes you feel better about life and after. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. It only affects me when someone tries to suggest by the teaching of the bible, that I am going to hell. I know you haven't said that here but it is the premise of the bible/ religion. Simply untrue.

can god predict our destiny, he is omniscient, he knows everything, he created the universe knowing everything about it, he knew i would evolve to reject him, he created me to die in hell?
