Depends of the attorney, Judge and Jury....doestn it Steve?

Interesting how cops play off a hunch all the time, but when we the people play our hunch based on the info provided, its the usual 'Lets wait until the investigation (performed by the Police investigators) is complete.

My hunch is that this is a rogue cop.
The kind that  has a disdain for the law ietakes matters into his own hand reglardless of the law, places evidence on suspects when he performs his job in sloppy fashion, and hates getting caught.

Most cops are good guys, but some are rotten.
Just A smaller microcosm of society.

I agree with SteveO.

Anyone who would shoot a person instead of the dogs for whateva reason in this case .. should not be on our streets with a gun in peacetime. Period.

Why that is even being discussed in this thread is beyond me. Prolly to criminalize lawful gun ownership. Pfffsstt

This dog park was small, looks like maybe a half acre fenced, maybe. There was NO reason for that federal officer to be walking inside with his dog on a leash knowing dogs were roaming FREE, when he could have done that outside the chainlink fencing. Something just doesn't add up. I'm sure that State will be diligent with investigations.

The Officer alleges that Bear Bear was the ONLY other dog in the park.

On-lookers said,
it appeared to be a drug deal gone bad.
White powder was found at the scene, currently being tested by city workers.

Huh.

Y'know, if that's actually true, it makes sense.
I wondered what the hell a crime scene analysis lab was set up at the scene for.

ya your right, just one dog to kill so his dog can run FREE. Pretty sick if you ask me. That Bear Bear was prolly always in the dog park ... the article did say Bear Bear was a regular. Poor dog.

I think this MIGHT be an example of when a person used lethal force, in this case upon a dog, when less drastic measures might have been more appropriate.  For what I've read so far about the facts of this incident I don't think that enough information has been made available to begin to determine what actually transpired.  I can not presume that the shooter was justified or not, either legally or ethically, in shooting the Husky.  Bum Deal in any event.

Okay, according to Bear Bear's owner, in a statement made during Bear Bear's memorial last night, the only witnesses were three children.

Were there any witnesses? - Yes there were three children, one of whom gave a statement to the police.
