This is similar to a question that I often hear "which is the best sidearm to have in a crisis?" Of course my answer is "the first one you can reach that is fully-loaded; chambered, and in fire position." Daryl, make mine a .45 ACP. Would this be a "working-line" sidearm?

My "showline" gun is the 460XVR. It doesn't get a lot of practical use, being that each round costs a heart-stopping $1.25

Sam, I have an H&K USP 40 full size for work, very nice gun and a P2000sk for off duty. Both, top of the line working line guns. I have about 5,000 rounds through the USP 40. Never fails. I also have a Kahr .45 sub compact for off duty carry as well.
I will say that after seeing literally dozens of people shot, I've never seen anyone walk away from a .45. It does a very good job. I have seen people walk away from 9 MM rounds on many occasions. Of course shot placement is critical, but not as critical with a 45. It's hard to walk with a shattered femure or hip.
FWIW,
Jim

A1K9
They have both working & showline dogs that are trained to executive level in protection.
So in my opinion both are good.

H&K's are nice if I was looking for something along the lines of an MP5 but in handguns, I'm a Sig guy.

speaking of shooting, my female GSD can't seem to get used to gun fire (maybe it's just the gun) she is fine with thunders, fire worksm, any loud noise...except when I fire my gun... she just starts circling and nudging me...any suggestions?
