well, dogs are like people all have different personalities, if you got a passive guy who is not challenging your authority, great! he is a perfect start dog...My first dog was a rotty (I was 14 at that time, begged my parents to get me one, and then i got it) and man he was such a trip, he would growl I would cry, he would come up and lick me, then i say sit..he walks away, I say come, he roles over..he taught me that if you give him an inch he will take a mile...now few dogs later I have 3 dogs and my neighbors say that my dogs behave better then their kids and grandkids...good example, we had a neighborhood BBQ i was sitting in a chair about 6 feet from the grill, my 2 dogs (I only had 2 last summer) were laying on either side of my chair, and a polish dog rolled off and fell on the ground, rolled towards me...my both dogs looked at me , I said "no" and kept talking...neither dog moved..everyone was shocked, polish dog layed there till someone else's kid picked it up..LOL...anyways, i hope your dog makes you happy and fits your life style, that is the most important thing...and if you don't like something..all you have to do is change it... and be consistent with it.

who's a troll? Me? Sorry I was just googling "german shepherds" and hormones, wheezing and such. I kept looking at forums to find answers but I didn't see anything specific. I just recently found out why he was colored differently than the others so I was trying to figure out where it came from. I am no troll - not that I need to prove otherwise...just wanted to join the forum and talk with people who know a lot more than I do.

Hockey,
No not you, least I would hope not.
Stop googling, it will give you hives.

If the dog wheezes go see a vet.
Bi-color is not a mystery.

Hope you have time to figure things here out before you get disillusioned.

Moons.

ok, now that the troll thing is taken care of.

Pros and Cons of keeping him unfixed?

Is bi-colored a desired stud? (if a pro to not fixing is to stud him out, I am trying to figure out if he would be a good choice for a mate)
