Amtrak is another government complete failure...

They are subsidizing each ticket sold $60.00. For a northeast corridor failed mismanaged train system.

They are paying employees around 4 times the national average for the same jobs, overtime thru the roof...etc...

And it is all Obamas fault, your misery is just dripping out of everyone of your pores, sad.

I said Obama tried to make political hay.

I said Amtrak is another Government complete failure...

He should make political hay about it because it has been 10 years and the railroads(not just Amtrack) are dragging their feet which is costing lives. He/we should be demanding that congress take action of course we could just say screw Amtrack and dump that many more cars onto the  road system.

When companies can't or won't ensure safety, then the government has an obligation to force them to, please reference past worker safety issues and child labor laws to name a few.

I'm sure not cutting future funds to Amtrak would have stopped a train going a 107 in 50 MPH zone from crashing..."

Amtrak, Amtrak, Amtrak!

 It turns out that this latest technology that would stop an out-of-control speeding train? It's there!  It's been installed!  It just hasn't been turned on.  The bottom line is this accident happened because there's no reason a bureaucracy as large as the transportation department or the federal government should be running the operation.  It's simply incompetent because it's too big.
