Delusions of grandeur, Prophet Shtal ?

Illustrates what I've said about hiding behind direct bible quotes

to lump posters who do not see things your way in with, in this case,

greedy murderous violent  husbandmen bastards.  Oh, sorry, you

don't expect us to know verses  1 to 41?  Passage does not make a

lot of sense without the rest.

Total lack of empathy.

Being ground to dust by stoning,  btw,  sounds pretty horrendous too.

Bit like  threatening we'll be burned, really.

"How about all these Christians being crucified, and beheaded in the Middle East as we speak?"

Alex Jones, much?

Vk, YES on a cross made of wood boards. This is a random one I found, in Syria I think.  Anyway, many atrocities are going on, covered by many news papers, and maybe Alex Jones too, I don't know.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2650817/Another-day-ISIS-crucifixion-Man-accused-joining-Syrian-regime-hanging-cross-busy-market-town-cryptic-note-pinned-chest.html

I serve a loving God who who came to earth to live as one of us, was treated horribly  by all the 'nice' folk, was crucified on a cross willingly so we could spend eternity with Him and while dying, said " Forgive them for they know not what they do"  Amazing.!!

. He said everyone will be delt with according to their deeds.  Can't get much fairer than that.

And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.

How many instances like the above?  Many.  God is a loving God, but a Holy God.  He hates sin, and I'm so glad.

"Forgive them for they know not what they do"  Amazing.!!"

all depends what scripture you read, they all have different stories.

yes he had a bad weekend on the cross before that he lived in heaven for eternity to which he returned to for eternity, but he was nice enough to create himself from himself to sacrifice himself to himself - cant get any more selfless than that.

should have got consent from that young girl tho before he impregnated her with himself to father himself.

You're not funny, not a bit. Talk to yourself.  Adios.

Vk is funny but he uncovers valid points that have been glossed with rhetoric. Edit to add "been"

joanro ~~ I agree ^  with your post above. However I am not sure how truly funny it really is,,Vk is smarter then he appears at first glance ;) no doubt about it. Scripture speaks to this when it says it would have been better for them not to have known these truths then to have known and then rejected them. Of course that's paraphrased, but you get the gist of it ,,,,

admin~~ I read this quote a while back and it speaks to the theme of your posts relating to fear ,,, Unfortunatly you miss the point completely by over looking one important detail ----->  Christ,,,, For without the good news ( Christ ) the bad news ( Gods righteous judgement against sin, which should lead to fear) is indeed overwhelming, equally so, without a hearty respect for the bad news the good news is of no benefit ,,,,think on it ,,,

Oh, I get it, sin all week and repent on Sunday and all is good. If I kill someone can I later repent and be saved? So, where is the fear? You shouldn't fear if you sin. What is there to fear from a loving and kind God?

I don't think I missed the point at all, I actually think you have missed the point. Which is if God is love and kindness, why fear it? I surely don't fear my God, matter of fact, there is nothing to fear but fear itself. It is a self fulfilling prophecy that religion creates, nothing more and nothing less.

I do feel that if your religion makes you happy then by all means have at it, but don't step on my shoes by suggesting that my God is something to fear whether I sin or not. That if I don't become a Christian God is going to send me to hell which is the whole premise of Christianity/religions.

Think about it, I know I already have put much thought into it. If I am wrong it is on me and not on anyone else to judge including some made up fairy tale of a bible. My sin is my sin and is not to be worried about by anyone else.

You can try and say you aren't trying to convert/change my views at all but isn't that exactly what religion does. I have had people come to my door under the name of Christianty telling me if I am not saved I will go to hell, hogwash.

admin~ I have never preached God is love and kindness lol, you have me confused with someone else. ;)

Love and kindness won't be the adjectives used to describe God when those that have rejected His son stand before Him.

I don't fear God FYI ,, I have a hearty reverence for His holiness for sure. My overwhelming disposition towards God is that of gratitude,,, Yes, indeed that of  gratitude !
