I think that it's in a lot of cases. But once you teach the dog to stand, position his feet and tell him to stay, you get this!
It's really not as hard as what it looks. We used lots of treats and threw things in the air. It was a bright sunny day out that's why it looks like he's squinting, lol.

Wow, first time on the message board and I get exactly the answer I was looking for! I have a two year old gsd, who has never been in the show ring, but doing well in obedience. I had never considered having to stack him, so never taught him young. I am glad that I found some good instruction and examples-thanks everyone!
