yellowrose of Texas

Like her pigment, head size, topline,     she has on her lazy sit , like a few of mine try....make her come to you when she does the lazy and sit correct   ,,,keep it up till she sits straight and then praise her....with   good sitz....many years I was not told how to correct until Adrian Ledda showed me...none of the club members in my club told any of us....

Now everyone knows how to correct....and the two who started out doing it the worst were my two ofa excellent girls...

Forequarter angulation might be a stacking issue. However, I've always thought Troll & Latchets to have short forequarters.

How are her progeny doing on the working field?

most went into active pet homes so title wise doubt we will see much

but they are all excellent i kept two one bitch one dog.. hopefully we will breed from our girl next year as long as his etc come back good.

we are starting schutzhund with the boy and he looks good.one incubus janus is in agility and is super. cleared up at the club award night and got his KC silver good citizen.

as it was a show line x the drive isn't as high as i would have liked but everyone is happy with the pups.

Shepherd Woman

This is just my opinion!

She has a good stop, ear set and expression. She could use more strength of underjaw.  Shes got good length of neck. Topline is o.k.- Has a slight dip in it- could use improvement. Her croup is short/steep. Her hind end angulation is sufficient. Underline is good.  Better lay of the shoulder would help with the overall look. Her upperarms are very short/steep. I would expect limited range of movement in the front do to the angulation, chest perportions, etc. A dog of good quality out of working lines?  Regardless of conformation, im sure she gets the job done.        : - )

Hi ,

I agree with what Shepherd Woman has mentioned. She even managed to catch the slight  dip behind withers.

Just for discussion ,I would like to mention that some of us while  requesting for critics of our dogs , must bear in mind that the criticsgiven is based on the standard, and there is only one standard for our G S D's. however the type between the working and show dogs are slightly different, in the musculature , dryness, maybe the hind angulations(turn of stifle),possiblely the croup, not to mention the drives and other areas. Taking into consideration the form required for the function.

If two identical critics are given , one for a show dog and another for a working dog will they look alike or different ?What will the similarities and the difference be?
