Two Moons

by Two Moons on 09 August 2008 - 18:08

Shelley,

The trademark hat, that'll work....:)

I don't have a hat, I'll come up with something.

Maybe a smiley face sticker on my forehead.

I'll be packing my own folding chair.   And maybe some form of refreshment..LOL

Brent.

My wife and I will be arriving at the host hotel Wednesday. New here and to SV type showing, but not to GSD. Would like to meet as many fellow enthusiasts as possible. I need to shorten the learning curve as much as possible and the best way to do that is associate with people who have already been through it.

Best,

Rik

Rik,

Are you entering a dog?

I am curious about one thing, does the hotel management allow dog's in the room?

Just kidding.

I am looking forward to seeing the dog's in competition.  It will be my first.

I hope the weather is good and everyone does well.

Brent.

Come by my camp and watch me put you to WORK!  "Learn by doing" I'll be hauling/showing at least 2-3 dogs, likely more.

BTW: Special thanks in advance to anyone who brings me a good, healthy food item ring-side. (I love tunafish and tomatoes on crusty bread) I never seem to get around to eating at dog shows, generally lose 5-8 lbs. running my arse off during the week-of, and I hate hamburgers and hot dogs, typical greasy show fare and soda pop. I will probably be driving my Aerostar, maybe the 4-dog trailer, or maybe somebody else's larger rig. Probably have room for one passenger and one dog if anyone wants to ride along. I have a room at the host hotel, looking for female to share again.  I'm never in the room anyway... Going to these things is getting so expensive every little bit helps. If I didn't go to sieger shows 2-3 times a year, I could buy a NEW van. Ha ha ha.

Shelley,

I alway's pitch in when visiting a friend but I'm not any good at making sandwich's.

When ever I'm hard at work I usually run on straight sugar and caffeine till the end of the day, then a cold beer and a grilled steak really hit the spot.   I am good at grilling steak's.... and drinking cold beer...lol.

Maybe I can scare up a protein bar or something.

With that many dog's to show your gonna be really busy, are there any dog treat's your particularly fond of?

LOL.. two bird's with one stone sorta thing?

Brent.

We all like steak. Ha ha ha. Maybe I can scare up a little portable BBQ grill and have a pot luck one evening. Sure miss my old RV. I know I've posted these before in another thread, but here are a few pix of  a couple of the last little get togethers I threw at  major events. We made carne asada tacos, using dog crates for tables. Needless to say, we ran out of meat pretty fast. Didn't expect 50-70 close friends and aquaintences to show up. LOL

Those were the good old days... when I only hauled a couple of dogs cross country. Now I'm begging somebody to bring me a sandwich?

Albequerque

My 40th Birthday just happened to land on the same weekend our little Northern CA club hosted the '92 NW Regional Championship. What better excuse to throw a huge party?

That's me in the black dress and the big hair. The 5-piece band was great.

Shelley,

Yeah the good ole day's...LOL.

Going from steak to tuna fish !!    Time is definately not our friend anymore.

I see these monster RV's going down the highway pulling an SUV and wonder, what bank did they just rob !!

Gas is supposed to be going down, 20 cent's Whoopty Doo !!

Great picture's , looks like a fun crew.

Brent.

Brent, in the US there are well over one million retirees living full time in RV's. They have sold their homes to be able to purchase one. They did not rob a bank, they worked their entire lives to be able to live that lifestyle.

I'll most likely be there, I'll come in thursday and probably leave sunday after the show.  Unless work crashes and I stop making money.
