Pet Village???

by beetree on 04 January 2010 - 15:01

I saw that too, Mystere... somehow DVG judge and Pet Village  seem to be strange bedfellows, indeed!

No, no, no--he is NOT a SV judge. He is a DVG judge. And, yes, I am a bit stunned.

BE thanks for the laugh!  It might be a good idea if you look up the definition of words BEFORE you use them.  Since I have no power and hold no sway, my suggestion that RayReid do what I perceive to be the right thing by helping to support the rehabilitation/rehoming of a dog he sold, cannot be considered  coercion by any stretch of the imagination - except yours.  My post was an attempt to appeal to his conscious and his love of dogs and the breed, sorry if this concept is lost on you.

The contract doesn't have a damn thing to do with it.  The dog was surrendered to a rescue only after the owner and rescue made repeated attempts to contact RayReid.  His  sole contribution has been to pay lip service  on this message board.

Pitiful.

I just corrected my post above.  I admit I don't know enough to know what is their difference, as judges.

Hold everything, I think we are talking about two different people, Pet Village is RYAN REID, not RAY REID????

Well, I guess the REIDS are all related? Workingline GSD pets, I just am speechless, too. I suspected they existed all along and now I have proof.

Yes people, he is a breeder, judge, importer, trainer, supposedly rescue group, according to some, all rolled into one...
none of this really matters...

At least people know what he is now...and how he responds...with all his knowledge above, I don't think he should have sold a puppy or older supposedly trained dog to these people who I am thinking are a bit ignorant of such things...

Baby eagle, you have no clue, since you don't read what is written,

Mystere is right, there is no sense in answering trolls....I was up late too and getting pissed...

The contract is what it is, just that supposedly he said, the contract said they had 60 days guarantee, according to one of his followers...the contract does not say that at all.

The gal called Ray Reid several months ago to try to get some help with the dog. Who would know the dog better than where she got the dog from??... You would think that he would want to continue to help the people he sold a dog to...
isn't this kind of help, the best advertising a person could get???...
YES it is because I used to sell advertising for a living....lol..that is how I used to support these rescue dogs...now I need them to help support themselves or I can no longer take dogs in...

You saw her original email to me....what was I supposed to do differently than what I did??? Other than say no!!!
I did what I felt was in the best interest of the dog, at the time...I could have let it go to the pound and let nature take its course...I told her I would take the dog in, I asked her if she contacted the breeder who sold her the dog, she said she had been trying for several months and couldn't get a return call, so I CALLED THE BREEDER MYSELF, the same day of her email and my phone call to here,  AND GOT THE SAME RESULT...just for the people that don't read everything...

You know, she didn't expect anything for the dog or a trade, she just needed to get the dog out of the house before someone got hurt. She was going to get rid of it at the pound or wherever at that point....
She moved the dog to a boarding kennel, trainer that day for me, until I could get room for the dog. Ray Reid wouldn't have had to pay her anything or given her another dog...she just needed to move the dog asap...humane society or rescue...the humane society gave her my number to see if we could help her better...hopefully you all read her first email to me..I had no clue she got it from a breeder until I talked to her on the phone...

END OF STORY. AND PETAPAL YOUR NAME SAYS IT ALL, TROLL, YOU ARE NOT WORTH ANSWERING EITHER....

I do have an interested party for the dog, he is already approved to get one of my rescue dogs. We have further discussions to see if he will be a right fit for this dog.

This thread was to help find a home for another breeder /trainer /importers dog,  that won't take the dog back ...and to let people know which ones won't....Case proved...

He still has not contacted me saying he wants the dog back,...so what I get from his response is that he doesn't want the dog back and he says he is a rescue too??? According to one of his followers.....wow, I am glad I don't run my rescue that way....

His kids also are all part of the whole business now, from what I have heard from someone that knows him, He is still in control of everything however...

I gave her only a 60 day guarantee on the second dog,

OOOPPSSS, Ray Reids own words....I am now getting confused....taken from his only post here....darn this is getting confusing...time to end the BS and get the dog a home...everyone is warned...done...

* "He still has not contacted me saying he wants the dog back,...so what I get from his response is that he doesn't want the dog back and he says he is a rescue too??? " *

-- This brings another question to my mind. Is this dog now in quarantine ? If so, how long ? If not, why ? How long do you hold the dog for observations before you sell ? This leads me back to my misunderstanding of listing the dog to PetFinder before you have it.
