My point is how many litters should this female have before she has done her duty for god and country It sounds to me like she has been bred most of her life... just the litters make me wonder about the lagitimate titeling,  when was this female titled during and thru welp?.

I,m not a breeder so I will keep further comment to my self but to buy this female with thoughts of more breeding... Thats not my cup of tee and definetly not in the dogs best intrest.

I looked her up and watched the videos, she's a nice dog.  Nice grips.

$5000. Give her a year off. If she recovers well, and is still fertile after her off time, she should be okay for another litter or two, depending on the size of the previous litters. If there is any question as to her condition when it comes time to deliver her litter, think planned C-section.

bob I over stated the litters......she is on #6 - so she has not been pregnant all her life........She will be 6 this month.
she has not been pregnant all her life

I think they have been doing a 2 on 1 off with her, except for an extra year of rest in the middle.

I know that to someone who is more interested in show line dogs over working ability the videos may look impressive, but to me the work is incredibly average.  Guarding being judged by "vigilance", is G at best.  Escape bite, slow to the arm and short on the re attack.  Average intensity after the out and slow to the arm and gathers on the long bite.  There is just no power in the work, female or not.  For me, after all you asked, $1500 as a pet if she were 3, but considering her age, I'm with Bob, $500.

How much are they asking?

by SitasMom on 04 September 2009 - 20:09

Yes I've talked to the seller............this dog is sound, healthy and still very, very active. She is worked many times a week. She is good with other dogs and with cats too. She is completely trustworthy when it comes to taking her out and about. She has a great personality and bonds well to her people.

This dog would be experienced in the world of trials, and without a SchH title..(she has VVS and IPO).....What is the value of such a dog as far as teaching a noobe the ins and outs of training, handling and trialing a quality dog?

A noobe trying to train up and show a green dog is oh so diffucult...neither one of us know what the heck is going on.....

OH my and to do well at the trials, just might be fun!

As I see it, the puppies defray the cost of the bitch and after that she will be my teacher.

Maybe I'm all wrong, maybe not.
