If we have a puppy that hasn't been "spoken" for....we keep the puppy until it is...period.

Thank you Sunsilver for a much better answer.

I do have one female left and yes I will sell her for a pet price.
I'm still running ads.
And your right I will not give one away, not unless It was to someone I knew very well personally.
And I do not think shelters are the way for me but I can see many people who would have no other choice.
I already know my answers to the questions, I was very curious for the input of others who do breed and have been in this situation.

I watched an ad go from $800.00 to free to a good home in only four weeks.
I'll be keeping an eye on the Walmart parking lot.

Two moons,

Just an opinion......try contacting the "training clubs" in your area.....ScH, Obedience, Agility, AKV...just to name a few.
Some prospective buyers, choose not to go thru ads, instead.. rely on personal recommendations.
Keep the price $ obtainable for the average, companion home....and things should work out best.
Again, JMO.

I knew what most would say.
I figured this would be something to talk about beside jibber jabber and politics.
Its a rainy day here and I'm not going out in it till the sun comes back out....:)
I also know people.

Well I have already been called ignorant and inhumane for stating I would euthanize a "panda" shepherd if I produced one.

I don't plan on breeding another litter unless there is a waiting list for pups, but I would certainly be prepared for people either backing out or just too big of  a litter. Pups will be welcome to come back to me. Sending them to a shelter is a No-Way for me. I feel I should be held accountable for my actions (the breeding) and I won't dump a dog on someone else.
If there was something physically or mentally wrong with the pup, I would euthanize it....If it is healthy, I will start it's training and lower the price to a pet home.
I won't give away a pup for free *unless* I know the person it's going to and they have good references. It  would also have to be a working home. I don't have a lot of dogs, so I have a little extra time, money and space to spare.

Not ignorant or inhumane,
But honest.

Thank you Two Moons, It's not like I would take great pleasure in it, but I feel it is the responsible thing to do. How is your remaining pup bred? Feel free to pm me.

Moons I have noticed selling pups in the summer monthes are slow, as most people are going on vacation and their schedule don,t allow for puppy training at this time of year . Hold on till after the vacation season .I bet you will have better luck selling the pup in sept.
