This is my last post to you.  You  have been proven to be a poser and a liar.  Now you are nothing but a yappy little mongrel, so go on, keep following me around like the lost puppy you are, you pitiful wreck.  I wonder how long you are going to have to kiss ass on this board to make up for all your lies?  All anybody ever wanted was for you to just be honest, guess that was too much to ask of you.

I am grateful for those words, lady sue... you are a priceless princess, you really are!

People will read the posts tho' sweetie and that means they'll know the truth... what are you going to do?

I am many things lady sue, but never a liar... other than that... I can be whatever you want me to be... how's that?

I very much dislike what has become of the breed I have so loved for 40 some odd years. I do not like the division that has occurred within the breed, anymore than I like the way it divides those of us who own and love the German Shepherd Dog.

There will remain a divison between the two camps, as long as, breeders of show lines continue to pay too much attention to the show ring and less to the true character of the dog. As much can be said for the working line folks who breed for the podium.

I wish there were more show lines who had the true character of the GSD and the ability to work correctly. The only way I see this happening is if breeders stop looking to the mediocre VA dogs that are constantly acclaimed to be the end all be all for everyone's breeding program. Dog shows are the number 1 killer of any breed, more so than the damn Disney movies that popularize the breed of the month.

I believe that if more show line breeders actually trained and handled their own dogs in the sport of Schutzhund it would help us with the blinders we wear. I admire those breeders who "dare" to cross the boundry and breed a working line to a show line. Good for them! The German Shepherd Dog is ONE BREED! It was designed that way, and it should have stayed that way. It did not, so now we are left with a division.

So, what do we do to bridge the gap?

1) Get rid of the Sieger Shows   2) Stop the petty name calling and work together  3) Stop breeding for extremes 4) Get back to basics, Train and work your dog(s)!!

lady sue, you really should stick to your first post, when you keep changing them like you do... it kind of seems like you're not too sure about things and I'm not the only one that sees this, sweetie.  Be a big girl (?) and have the courage of your convictions... just try it... it'll feel good, maybe not as good as those little "retainers" of yours but along those lines!

Amen.... DeesWolf, pretty much what some of us have been saying.  Fault on both sides, but it's not insurmountable, if we can work together!

What to do..?

Do what the VDD has done for the Deutsch Drahthaar...

1 Abandon the AKC, it offers nothing.   Begin a German Parent Registry To FCI standard, A Working Standard, with affiliate clubs in respective nations.

2 Require Strict Breeding Controls for dogs & members, Bylaws for members on rules of breeding

3 Reinstate Mandatory Breed Tests for Registry,  at least to SchH 2 for Studs & Bitches...

4 Conform/Hips/Bite  etc judged as well,  with restrictions on breeding if less thatn 'gut'

Youll then see dedicated breeders & owners,  and it will destroy the show/conformation/politics/money which has denigrated & diluted this fine breed.

Those Already dedicated, wont be effected, but those in it for the wrong reasons, have no reason owning this dog or can go the AKC route.

Ugly, to that end I think Herr Raiser is a brilliant man and has much foresight into what needs to be done for the working line GSD because we must go forward not backwards.  I think the salvation may lie with his  SV2000 for the working line enthusiast.  We shall see!  He is a man who knows what needs to be done.

Now, it takes a real man to appear when he thinks (?) the work has been done for him and parade more hogwash as though he'd thought of something original... Bancroft... out from under the skirts!  No info for me about your many working efforts with show bred dogs et al?  Yeah, because there's none to share, you know nothing about showlines and I'm willing to bet you know hellish little about this breed of "ours" in general... YOU want to split it, remember, that's your swan song... and you want to be taken seriously?  Bless!

Frozen semen, has been around for many years and quite a few people use it... Germany is NOT the only country with desirable dogs.  Quite a few fabulous dogs are bred / sold oversees, that's when AI tends to be the prefered method.  How hard is this for you people to understand?  Many GERMAN dogs are not in GERMANY!  You just can't be this dense!  Use Google... it's all there, if you look!

I guess the Australia thing is understandable because only real breed people, would know of the ban... but I'd have done my homework before accusing someone of being entirely inaccurate.   That is what you all need to do, (among other things) homework.  The breed hasn't been around for just 10 years!  Bancroft, it's unlikely, with your attitude, that you'll be around for the next 10.

Yes, can anyone say ELITIST breed? For the ELITIST dogtrainer? Read between the lines. and BTW, true to form, SuzyQ always calls you a liar first, then a troll, and when the bully feels like she's got all her croniettes standing firm behind her, you might want to grab a kleenex because you'll need it to wipe the spittle off your screen from the little fear biter.
