So all in all you know about this for 2-3 days ? Didn't mention going after kids in OP, yet wanted interested people ? Soo, how much you selling the dog 4 now that you have it ?

BabyEagle4U,

Steph knows her stuff and moves fast so that nothing happens to the owners and the dogs are rescued not abandoned because like she says, the fault is usually not the dogs'.  You come across as if you feel she is running some kind of racket here.  Trust me, unless you are sincere in taking this dog and doing something acceptable with it, it won't matter what you are willing to pay, she won't sell it to you.  You can forget picking it up for the usual $75.00 most rescues charge (around here anyway).  Go find a different drum to beat and leave Steph alone.  She is all about the dog, period!

This is when I found out about the dog. The first day I also called her with a followed up reply...I also called Ray Reid the same day, 12-26-09 to let him know this dog was available and did he want him back...etc...no response from him, but read Linda's second email to me...I then told her that I had contacted the breeder that day to let him know about the dog...I originally asked her if she tried the breeder first and she said she had for several months but couldn't get a response from him on what to do...especially since she paid $1000 for the first puppy and then this dog was a replacement dog for the same price. Why wouldn't she try to get ahold of the breeder first??? Especially when she has spent that kind of money on a dog???
Steph
ps; the dog didn't go after the kids till yesterday, when she had too many people over to the house when she brought him back from the trainers house. At least she never told me originally that it went after the kids...she said whenever someone yields a long dark stick whip or even the tv remote he went bonkers...when I let this dog inside from the yard tonight he was going crazy, trying to get into the door...I had to hard correct him to sit and settle down first...the next few days will let me know what his temperament is like...to better evaluate him, I like to give them some time to settle in first...

Steph, this what I have. the rest is all in spanish? Porteguese? anyway the breeder just called me I find it interesting that he called a few days after I call a rescue group .
So we shall see what he has to say he couldn't remember the dog. He tells me he paid way more than a 1000.00 for this dog, so breeders buy neutered dogs ? I don't know call me later 406
Thanks linda Lee and kaiser

Thanks so much DebiSue, Bhaugh, 1 doggie and all the others...you all know me on this board and thank God for that...

After I had read her first email, and one of the two, she sent me the first day, went into my spam box...I had called her within 20 minutes, she was amazed that I responded so fast....I didn't want the dog going to a shelter, because I know what usually happens to them there...especially a dog of this caliber...
This is one of the reasons I have built a good name for myself and I will do what I have to to keep it that way...

I read Mr. Reid's post and I think he did the right thing by calling the people he sold the dog to instead of calling Steph. According to him they got rid of the dog to the rescue service. Perhaps if Steph new that he called the other person she should have called again or sent an email if she wanted more information. I think he went way beyond what a normal breeder would do by replacing the first puppy with one that is an adult and trained. Perhaps those people should not even own a dog. Sounds like Steph got a really good dog, perhaps she should just find a home for it and spend less time crying about Mr. Reid not calling her.

Back off on Steph. You have no clue what your getting into. She takes in alot of them and she is not complaining, just stating the facts. She has been around along time and THE DOGS COME FIRST.

Leaving out the possible rights and wrongs and "he said and she said", the bones of the matter seems to be that the seller has offered to take the dog back now so why not just let him come and get it?  After all, the rescuers are already overstretched and tying up resources on a dog that has somewhere else to go because of a few missed emails seems a touch petty to me unless there is reason to believe the dog wil be mistreated in some way and I have seen no suggestion of that so far.
