The Canadian soldier who was shot and killed has been identified as 24-year-old Cpl. Nathan Cirillo.

Nathan was a reservist from Hamilton, Ontario and served with the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders of Canada regiment.

You think I'm filled with hate because I think that Michelle Bachmann is the most idiotic politician in the country and got a "threat"?  That's even funnier!  I doubt ISL gives a damn what Michelle Bachmann has to say and it's most likely a ploy of some kind, she's also a drama queen and a liar.  Is there anybody who takes anything she says seriously?  But then, there are those who think Sarah Palin is a genius, so go figure.

RS, I was really sorry to hear about the Canadian soldier, that's very sad.  Amazing what people do when they think they not only know there's a god, but that they believe what that god wants from them, which rings true in the this quote:

Thanks Travels, but I'm not sure it is religion that draws these people to join ISIS.  BTW, that is two incidents with soldiers in what, 2 days? In a country with gun control.  Don't forget that!  What a crock and a waste of money that is.

I believe it has a lot to do with a very extremist view of Islam. The point is not every Muslim is an extremist or a sociopath. In the article you provided was this quote

They want us to fear and they are succeeding to a small extent if I ever die in a terrorist attack I guess God wills it. 

I dont' think anyone said 'every' Muslim was an extremist.  We have a wonderful man on this board to prove that just isn't so, and most of us know some who are also very ordinary people.
  The 'religion' of Islam however, is not peaceful, and one just has to read the Qur'an to see that.  These extremists are doing what it says- we'll have to start a new thread. I don't want to get this thread totally off topic.
