How many sons of Bolle JaNaKa are there competing worldwide? Some yes, but he has 550 registered sons, out of 550 there are 10 competing worldwide, now you have to look at their mothers. Bordy Blendy has 340 sons registered, how many of them are competing? Now...how many good sons of Dina Vom Eisernen Kreuz are there? Watch videos and most of them are good dogs. Debby vom Eissernen Kreuz? Ditto. From Yucca von der Mohnwiese?same thing. Moana von Peroh? Same thing. Bora Excalibur Europa same thing.You always have to look at the mother, the mother's mother... always the maternal line,  A good male is very good! But always, always the mother's lines, the puppies are two months inside her and another two months with her until they are delivered.

And that is why I have a sister Kennel that runs on some super bitches that I breed myself.i would actually very seldom pick a puppy from a podium winner wouldn't be my first choice .blendy daughter was bought for someone else who fancies that male .

@txarkoeta There is a simple reason I ask about the male. Look at how many dogs a male produces. Over 300 for Bordy that are registered. What female do you know with that many puppies? How many on average does a female produce? How many different combinations has Bordy been used with? Now how many do most females used with? It’s a numbers thing. There’s just a larger sample size for males than females. It’s easier to see what they bring and don’t than with the females. With females, you can generally talk to the breeder and maybe a few people with pups. There just isn’t as much information on them usually. Especially when you consider they may be 2 or 3 on their first or second litter. Males like Bordy have been used for awhile. There’s no point in asking a wide audience what they think of a female. Odds are they don’t know her. It’s a discussion I’d have with the breeder. I only address this because a question about a male has been side tracked into something else.

Gsilas very good point I actually never considered that in the way you said it .the point made about the female is not wrong either but I like how you were thinking .I'm not a major breeder I have only breed 3 ,4 liter in 20 years and most of them were in the last couple of years .I now have 4 breeding bitches I breed 2 myself and 2 I bought as pup's some 4 , 2, 2, and 5 month's are the age .I have 3 nice males .

@bladeedge I do agree the female will ultimately have more of an impact on the puppy you get than the male. Great breeding programs are built on females, not males. You don’t males to have a breeding program. You can find studs anywhere. It sounds like you have a nice setup.

Gsilas thanks iv been setting this up for close to 20 years I was in no hurry I never aim to make money from dogs .I have other work .my aim is to add a little to the breed Which I actually think I will and not what I like what the breed calls for . good structure strong bone tight feet great pigment dark eye ,solid nerve , very cam balanced drive natural ability , athletic loyal and very suitable for family and work at the same time . That's my goal for 20 years .I am very honest about what I have if someone asked I will tell them .

Just like certain male dogs have the propensity to "stamp" themselves onto their progeny, so do certain females.

We have a young Bordy male (14 months). Strong nerve, no issue traveling from Europe to US at 11 months. Has been to multiple fields, situations, etc. No issue whatsoever.

gsilas, you reasoning is old style and wrong, certainly a male produces more pups than a female, but how many of said male his offspring are used for breeding, how many eros sons are making impact on the breed, how many Bomber, Sam, same goes for modern males, they all shoot more zeros than heroes, which also has to do with overall quality of females bred by them naturally
