Dimes were worth more back then. What can that dog do today?

Are we actually talking about a green dog here? You know, an untrained, green dog?

That dog lived in early 80's was bred by Malcolm Griffith. Maybe Hundemutt can find out from him about the Kai V Silberbrand son ( call name : Pirate ) that he sold to Nagib Ali of Von Alihaus Kennels.

I just want to see a dog that can search for over an hour with the same consistent intensity without getting tired in the least.

My unit of measure for hunt drive is days and miles under extreme conditions.

You guys know nothing important about dogs, its just theatrics to look like they are working. I mean that very literally.

I don't think you understand what the difference between Hunt Drive and training is.
This is something that needs to be trained. No dog magically can search for days at a time to find something he doesn't even understand he's looking for.
The greater the raw natural hunt drive, the better the dog to train up so they can search for days at a time. However, it's trained. They don't just start out with the mental capacity from the get go.

Everyone has their own “high standards” they’re not standardized (look up what that means) and no one can explain them to you without saying “well my dogs meet it.” It’s not a standard if it’s not standardized. Everyone’s personal ideas aren’t standards, they’re just what you want to breed. God bless America where that’s allowed and no one really questions it or says anything negative to help others see the holes in people’s claims. The best statement is “I do it for the breed” even though the production of a few dozen dogs, that don’t end up catching anyone’s eye and really producing anything in large enough numbers doesn’t do much for the breed as a whole. Nothing wrong with producing good stable dogs and giving families good experiences with a shepherd, but the difficulty of that is overblown and isn’t rocket science as most want to make it out to be. Very very few dogs are failing at being pets because of their own issues. Kennel/line blind breeders? Sure. But all of them will also tell you that they’re breeding to their own high standards (again, not really standards by definition).

I tend to be a " non-believer" ( is this even a word? ) ...

In case a puppy was "selected" due to some skills (like hunt drive) I want to see proof later on, that said in case I selected for SAR skills I want to see an official SAR title later on.

I really believe in "selection" - but later on I await proof ( and not: he/she COULD do in case I would ...).
