Still happening today, so where is the proof Jesus was born to virgin....and that Jesus was son of god. Supposedly every man is the son of god, even the heathens who crucified the Indian catholic priest.

God of wriggle room, lol.

Bee has to be a troll if she thinks God exists because you can't prove he doesn't is a valid argument.

Invisible pink unicorns equally exist as God does then.

Idiotic.

This got buried at the bottom, didn't want it to get missed.

Looks like I am getting a little help from a friend! This pertains to my original challenge. I think it is very apropos and some people here might actually learn something about facts.

Antiquities 18: Chapter 3
Josephus mentions the crucifixion of Jesus in passing. The passage is judged authentic by most scholars once the obvious Christian additions (marked here in brackets and italics) are removed:

Now there was about this time Jesus, a wise man, [if it be lawful to call him a man;] for he was a doer of wonderful works, a teacher [of such men as receive the truth with pleasure,] He drew over to him both many of the Jews and many of the Gentiles. [He was the Christ.] And when Pilate, at the suggestion of the principal men amongst us, had condemned him to the cross, (9) those that loved him at the first did not forsake him; [for he appeared to them alive again the third day; (10) as the divine prophets had foretold these and ten thousand other wonderful things concerning him.] And the tribe of Christians, so named from him, are not extinct at this day.

In the very next paragraph Josephus recounts the crucifixion in Rome of the priests of Isis, ordered by the Emperor Tiberius himself, for their misdeeds in arranging the sexual seduction of a virtuous women.

Scientific observations are not proof of what starts the beginning. They are simply observations. You can not prove how life began by observation of its effects. There has to be a catalyst, and so far, God is equal to what you have as proof as that catalyst. That is simply the truth.

STALEMATE.

I responded to your crucifixtion post with a current crucifxtion. You still have not proven how anything in the bible is true, just deflecting with creation. It's mythology.

by beetree on 11 April 2016 - 22:04

That is just false. I have provided proof exemplary, from a learned institution that irrefutably is accepted by academia, that Pontius Pilate and Jesus did in fact exist, and one did crucify the other. Try to keep up.

And did that prove his mamma was still a virgin when he was born and that his daddy was god?
Maybe they wired her shut again after she was impregnated so during delivery, the attendees were tricked into believing she was still virgin...makes more sense than the bible story.

Joan, if you want a stupid argument, it isn't going to be with me.

by beetree on 11 April 2016 - 23:04

There are no serious takers to the proof presented, at this time? No one with their own rebuttal of merit? One can not deny the existance of the crucifixition of Jesus and the condemning by Pontius Pilate as in fact, that it did happen.

It might have happened doesn't mean Jesus was a god.
