Very true in the pedigree now a days we even don't see Rikkor's name anywhere except in one or two dogs in the top ones it's not enough esp he was a double world sieger Remember,Ursus and Dux is really Dominating.Thats too bad for rikkor line.He going to fade soon if this thing will continue.

probably most of his progeny are now house pets because of lack of drives, etc. Theirs a real reason why his lines are fading, probably poor temperament or poor health. we'll probably never find out the truth in all of this, I do hope we do however.

My name is Steve & I live in Australia. I have a Rikkor Grandson via Kevin von Murrtal, Gagarin von Bad Boll who was SG14 in the 2003 Seiger show in the young (18-24 month) dog class & arguably Kevin's best son. The judge at the show said he would have put him SG3 if he was in coat just behind Zamp & Karats Yoker. His website is www.gagarin-von-bad-boll.com I was fortunate to meet Herr Reiker & his lovely wife on 2 occassions, very honest & friendly people. They have magnificent dogs with superb temperaments. Unfortunately politics, as it does in most things in life, infects & corrupts the truth & subjectivity. Rikkor has brought the size back down & given colour also. When you have a dog that was Seiger twice in a row you make a lot of friends & equally a lot of non friends with scores to settle. Rikkor will live through the pedigrees of some fantastic dogs. LONG LIVE RIKKOR VON BAD BOLL!!!

You may like or dislike Rikkor and find a lot of faults maybe, but that dog CAN WORK.

The Rikkor line is alive and doing well! I have not seen a dog by Rikkor that is weak in temperament or weak in the drives. In my experience, there is a lot of drive coming off of this line, more so than most of the other showlines. Rikkor was bred to working lines because he did produce his drive. As a two time world sieger, many, many females were bred to Rikkor, therefore, hip status and production can be deceiving at times. One must remember that there is also a female involved with the breedings, not just the male. Unfortunately, most times when there is a problem, the sire is blamed. Rikkor brings in correct body proportions, and an overall elegence and type. He is a much different producer than the ever so popular Ursus (and now Yasko) lines.

I have a Rikkor daughter and she is the most beautiful red color that I have ever seen! Her temperment is great also!

To name a FEW of the well known kennels who bred to Rikkor..... Hühnegrab, Arlett, Hochmoor, Farbenspiel, Kirschental, Batu, Jahnhöhe, Holledau, Fiemereck, Noriswand, Roten Matter, Herdersfarm, Hirschel, Piste Trophe, Wildsteiger Land, Agrigento, and Arminius. Several of them used him more than once. As said previously, he produced a different type of dog (a more correct one, IMO), than what is "trendy" right now. Those who appreciate movement, breed type, and character will keep Rikkor in their lines.

Does anybody have a video shot of Rikkor doing bitework? not to mention obedience and tracking? Just want to see how good this dog really is, as of the working ability. Also does anybody know his working scorebook? Not saying that this dog is bad... LETS FOCUS ON THE WORKING ABILITY... not how many conformation titles he won and how so many breeder bred to him. greatestgsd, Hows your females working drives? do you have a video shot? Is she titled? whats her scorebook says?
