4pack

by 4pack on 07 January 2009 - 22:01

She did look quite old didn't she missbeeb and run through the ringer? Trust me I checked the tattoo. The worst pics are at age 4.5 when I got her here. The ones in the snow are a year later at close to 6 yrs old. I put some muscle weight on her, her coat improved 100% and she started acting like a real dog, happy, tail wagging and playing. It took her a long time to do more than just lay on her dog bed, only getting up to eat/drink and potty. Seemed as if her spirit was broken in some way or another. I don't blame Holtkamper See. I blame the kennel that flew her to me and the dipshit broker who advertised her as a super working bitch.

Dear God! When you look, you see that they can and do take 10 litters (or more?) out of a bitch... what a life! It's damn shameful, poor girl... and poor you!

Uglydog, he is handsome... looks like a cross between a Giant Schnauzer and a German SH Pointer.  Does it have to be hand stripped?  How long has it been around please and how many are there... roughly?

I have to say, they look much better with the coat stripped, I hate the scruffy look. Very cute with just the goatee and the darker body I preffer, over the molted color. Nicely built dogs.

???  Chris, 'decent' and 'descent' are two totally different words. And it's the Da Vinci code, though I'm not sure what that has to do with the GSD.

Thanks for the correction. If this were an essay writing forum your correction would be well founded. But since you obviously knew what I meant and this is not an essay writing forum, your reply just shows you to be small and petty.

You and others seem to act like a bloodline going back to Horand has some type of mystic properties. Much like some people believe that having Jesus of Nazareth in a person’s bloodline would make them special. This connects to my theory that the GSDs biggest problem is an ideology that mirrors religious faith. And rightly or wrongly, there is no reasoning with a religious zealot.

Chris, at least I have nothing against the mixing of different GSD lines, unlike some on this forum who consider my American showline/German showline bitch a 'mutt'!

Sorry, if you can't copy the word in my post from one line to the other without making a mistake I WILL point it out. I'm a former teacher, and old habits die hard. Live with it. If I was being petty, I would have explained the difference between the two words!

misbeeb..4 pack

I hand pluck every 4 months, but not after Late Summer, generally non shed coat, like a terrier. Can be comb stripped also.

Been around 100 years. Was the Official Dog of Germany if Im not mistaken, though Hitler was Anti Hunting and that posed some problems for the VDD.

I believe 4 Breeds contributed-Deutsch Kurzhaar, Pudelpointer, Griffon, Stichelhaar (Some attribute Airedale) I cant verify

There are about 10,000 members, standard to FCI & Hunt test through JGHV.

Litters restriction...One litter per year to a Bitch, only after passing 2  performance Hunt Tests with conformation rating, in addition to few other items (Hips sent to Germany etc).. A Bitch cannot breed after 8, Nor can a Stud.

That stud posted is Braun W Breastflake. Other allowable colors are Braunschimmel and Schwarzshimmel (roan)
