I have a Yasko granddaughter I have been considering breeding because people are constantly asking if I will, saying they or someone they know would buy one of her puppies. She is my service dog in training, obviously having pups would make her unable to do her job for quite sometime but I did think a little money would be nice............would it be wrong to breed her just once? I have been telling people if I breed her it will be after she is two, and her hips and elbows are OFA'd. These are people who just want a good watchdog, a well-behaved family pet; they don't care about titles. They see my beautiful girl and are impressed by her temperament and intelligence. A few days ago a woman came running down the street asking if I breed: her friend wants a puppy. I said no, I don't but I might when she is two. She says her male was $5,ooo as a pup but doesn't seem to know much about his pedigree. She says she's really picky about who she'll let him breed to, some guy she knows wanted to have him breed with his female, but that female is bad-tempered and mean. The health contract I got when I bought her states spaying her before age twenty-four months would nullify the guarantee on her hips and elbow, I am not sure why..........
