Duke there is a biological reason why women dont fully understand a : man's dog". No prob.
A guy outhere in Westchester have a soldi blk Czech ( old bloodlines..Cordon more than once in the 3 and 4th generations and some Mat Roz dogs as well  )  male. Talk about a majestic and imposing presence is that dog. He can be let offleash indoors ( 3 e collars on ) , but trust me the only thing you ( as a visitor ) can do in his presence is remain fully frozen. The dog owns the territiory and he lets you know it immediately. Stand completely still and with a completely low voice, and you
are fine. Move and he gives you a stare , and his owner said don't stare back at him ( cuze you don't want to be there for his next move ).

The dog  immediately suppresses everyone that enters his territory, but somehow the owner is able to maintain being in charge.

Why is it wrong to like a dog like this??

You make sexist comments about women but write about a dog like a gushing teenage girl writing in her diary about Justin Bieber.

How come you only hear about these dogs on the internet by guys that have achieved nothing?

The dog is not on internet he is 30 mins drive from me in Westchester County. I do admire the majestic presence of a powerful animal.

I never said the dog  the titles or the owner achieved something. All Im talking about is the behavior of  a 4 yr old GSD male on his home territory.

Your description of the dog is on the internet and that's all we have to go by.

Talk is cheap.

Mithuna, you really are an asshat. Between time spent doing animal control work, private behavioral modification training, and working in a private veterinary practice, I've had my hands on far more dogs fitting the description of what you call a 'man's dog' than you've had birthdays.

The biological difference as to why most women don't have any use for an unbiddable or antisocial dog that isn't capable of determining someone is a neutral person who presents no threat is simple: most woman don't have the need to prove they're tough or bad-ass by having a dog posture on our behalf, and we definitely don't care about which of us is the toughest or most bad-ass...we know that we all are because it's our birthright.

IIRC, it was you who sought assistance in retrieving that dog which was locked in an apartment when its owner was hospitalized because the dog was rumored to be a 'man's dog'--and I believe I was the one who offered to come up to NY. I was going to come to help the dog, because you didn't think you'd be able to do so.

Why is it wrong to want a dog that prowls the rooms of the house intimidating visitors which were welcomed into the home by the owner of the dog? Because that dog is also an asshat, as is the owner for tolerating such nonsense--the house belongs to the OWNER, not the dog, and a dog that acts like that is nothing but a liability. A liability that can be stopped with a $2.00 bullet, BTW, how much good does that behavior do in the long run anyway, eh?

So don't try it with this 'women don't understand a man's dog' crap, because that's all it is. How about you show us a picture of Anna, standing still and shot from the side so we can actually see her conformation and see her doing something you've told her she has to do? You've yet to be able to produce that, yet you're enthralled with the notion of lion-dogs that prowl the living room as if they were the ones paying the bills.

You know why? Because ENOUGH IS ENOUGH with this "Mans Dog" Bullshit!

by duke1965 on 22 May 2017 - 14:05

you are all kind of barking up the wrong tree, not talking macho stuff, not talking about dogs that cannot be handled

Here is a dog I will breed to next week(for the crybabys upfront, no pups available for sale anymore )

this is easy to handle dog, trained and titled by disabled owner to IPO3 and ZVV2

I looked at the dog training with several people,no problem,  but I better not try to touch him or owner out on the field

great drives, intensity and civil, but on other hand calm and social for his own, this is what I am talking about
