My male Zavien in my avatar is 50% west working and 50% DDR. He is not titled but man does he throw out some beautiful drivey pups.

I love the looks of the DDR dogs. They have awesome pigment and nice big bone and beautiful blcoky heads.  They are slow to mature. So like Just K9s said, they may not be the high scoring dog at the wold championships, but they can do the work...from what I have seen the DDR dogs seem to be more serious when they mature.

If a breeder is going to do an outcross breeding, I like the DDR/showline cross.  This cross produces the nice blocky build of the DDR and the nice rich pigment from the showline.
