For the word of God is living and full of power, and is sharper than any two-edged sword, cutting through and making a division even of the soul and the spirit, the bones and the muscles, and quick to see the thoughts and purposes of the heart.
You take care and may God bless you.

Off-Topic or Religion discussion "Stay or go away"
GGTurner, isn't what you just posted pretty obvious to the average joe? What do you say to those mouth pieces who won't stop being rude with their hijacking? You think they'll stop? I don't think they can do it by themselves. Only with a little help from GSD, if you ask me.

I used to have an open mind, but I am really, really tired of the hatefulness that springs forth, each and every time. Before these threads, people could enjoy each other's conversations, and differences celebrated! Now it is always some kind of cosmic battle for souls because they pick and choose whatever verse will suit their special needs to claim ultimate authority to justify a disregard for differences. And then once these hateful words come out, how do you forget them? The answer is, you don't, and the hatefulness just festers. |
Shal, Gouda et al. Read this and really think about what BeeTree is trying to tell you. And then read it again...

Discussions of this sort become too inflammatory, and simply become pissing matches with no end.
"Oh yeah? No you!"
"No you!"
"No it's you!"
"Oh yeah, well F U!"
"No, F U!"
"Praise God eh?"
"NO, I don't praise him!"
Perhaps a sub forum where free and open discussion, hugging, etc. of religion would prevent the camps generating negative interaction would be helpful?

Waves@Bee,,,I meant to respond to your sassy comment before,,,,Yes, I would rather the OT go, but as long as it is hear I won't mind making comments,,lol,,,I am like most and just can't seem to keep my big mouth shut!!,,lol..;)
Anyway, many folks have suggested to just avoid threads that you disagree agree with, but IMO that is impossible. I can avoid thread topics that don't interests me all day long, but I find it mostly impossible to avoid threads that interest me. Religion interest me, so hence my reason for commenting...:)
I dislike this thread and similar threads due to the terrible misrepresentation of God and His Word... Also, the lack of love and compassion for each other is also grievous..
I am not suggesting that the non religious are responsible for this, on the contrary those who profess to be Christians can be the biggest culprits...
I have been glad to see a new face here lately and there are a few others that should contribute their knowledge and understanding as well,,,If the OT is going to exist and we are going to have religious threads then I hope that sound biblical doctrine will dominate these threads ...
I am convinced that anything can be discussed if it is discussed with love and respect for the other person..Regardless of the topic...The fact that this is not happening is evidence that the motives of all those participating is not rooted in love and respect for others...Say what you like, but there is nothing that should warrants the cunning and threatening behavior we see here on this thread and other threads of the same...
When two adults come to place where they can not agree, just move on politely..Is that so hard to do?,,,

Just so you know, I am so very glad you are here! And I do hope Carlin gets out of jail soon, so you and he can have a constructive discussion on your shared interest.
