For the most part, there isn't too much crop damage. The area's that did have a significant amount was from vehicles turning around.

Although I will mention we lost one Liberty Oak. In 1918 the Pennsylvania Armistice American Legion along with most American Legions in the other 13 dedicated to all fallen Soldiers from our states what we call the Mighty Soldiers Victory Oak - Liberty Oak or trees for the dead, the Legions agreed all fallen soldiers should have a living monument. If anyone drives threw Pennsylvania and see's Oak trees in a straigh line alongside roads .. this is why. We have over 250 total miles of Victory Oak monuments in Pa. 73 of those miles is my local area.

Here is the poem that is said for all the Victory Oaks in my area that get planted. The boy and girl scouts are in charge of this project. The little trees that line the way - sad symbols of a nations pride - are etched against the wintry gray - oh let them live for those who died.

Here's the only Soldier that we lost twice. His name is being researched now so the scouts can replant ASAP. Picture taken this morning, chemicle used on tree to dry wood faster.

*"What's the situation in the Allentown/Lehighton area, have you heard?"*

We just came home from a drive to Easton, through Allentown, then to the Kutztown area, & through Lehighton on the way home to the mountains. And I've been going back & forth to work in Allentown every day. It was bad during the storms & the day after, but not too bad in Allentown. We saw a couple of bridges out, standing water in some fields, & of course all waterways are still very high, but really nothing too bad. It seems the really bad stuff was to the north & west of my area.

But even as I type this it's raining again....! jackie harris

BTW, I think Molly is near Harrisburg. The Susquehanna is a REALLY big river down there!

I  took a drive to the River today after I left Shanksville's for the flight 93 memorial. I can't believe how high it is still. Holy Cows !! I went threw Annville too.

Annville @ the Quittapahilla crossing. When I was there the other day the water was above the street signs. Crazy.

I found a Ron Paul sign too !! One of the residents there said this wooden RP sign was under water and couldn't believe it was still there. I just told him it's prolly an omen. (lol)

Here's a pix of how high the Quittapahilla in Annville actually was. There's a Daily News skid up in the tree !!

I was told by a resident in Harrisburg the Susquehanna was @ 49' !!! Now it's at 38.6'. Crazy. I should also mention the river at best is usually 3-6' as an average. I've walked across parts of the Susquehanna already. Kinda gives you an idea of why I say Holy Cows !!

I am relieved to know all my friends back there are well and safe, if seriously inconvenienced in some cases. It has indeed been hard to get news about the situations in many areas back there online. The newspaper in the county I used to live in seems to have ignored everything from before Irene to the present, at least as far as their online component.

Its been 90's-100's here this week, sunshine every day as usual between May and October. After all the heavy and late snowfall up in the Sierra Nevada there is plenty of water in Northern California waterways and reservoirs.
Here is me, Friday night, preparing to battle the water in the Oroville Dam after-bay.

I just got a messege from home. Handy Mohammed's body was found this morning by a hunter 4 miles down the Swatara hung up in a tree. The Swatara rose more than 40 feet in that area. RIP.
