It might be time to put your focus on fun exercises for the dog instead of traditional routines. Work the Obedience exercises less, add in some agility, Dock diving or something else that lets your pup be a dog til this period passes. I have found that from 7-9 months great dogs become useless and it is frustrating to keep them focused on the job at hand. The problem was me not recognizing that he/she was bored, and going thru hormonal stages at this age... Think of trying to keep a 15 year old boy focused on math problems over and over... if they don't outwardly rebel they will definitely make your life miserable! LOL
