I had to make the pics smaller to post them. Just let me know if you want any of the others posted.

I'm not surprised about Maya and the wildlife. When I took Maya to the vet for her vaccinations, someone was foolish enough to put a crate with a kitty in it next to Maya. Maya immediately demonstrated very ethusiastic and determined hunt drive, leading to the hasty removal of the crate.

I'm glad she's having fun, but not surprised. I wish more GSDs had her great nerve and superb character.

GSDs of incredibly good quality are often found in rehome or rescue situations.

Thanks GSDsRock. I used to know how to post pictures. Has something changed?

SO sorry Mike had to agonize over giving up his girl.  We all know how that had to suck.  Glad she got a good home and Mike has got to be happy to know she will be well cared for and well loved.  Happy ending indeed.

She is beautiful! Trigger is quite a looker himself. I'm sure they will be best buds for a long time to come. What a happy ending!!

I do love a happy ending! Maya looks lovely and Trigger looks like he thinks all his Christmases have come at once.

For Mike, well considering your ad was on Craigslist (we don't have that in the UK, but something similar, which is horribleand probably why some of the misconceptions about you arose), you have found a gem among the dirt to have your beautiful girl. You really are lucky, as is Maya. You can rest your mind - she will have a wonderful forever home, with a handsome hunk of a boyfriend as an added bonus, her future is safe.  It must be hell to give her up, but you couldn't have found a better home for her.

Triodegirl- congratulations, she is beautiful and she looks like she is really settling in nicely. A big well done to all who made it happen. Please keep us all updated.

Maya is doing great. She has changed so much in the last few days. She is constantly twisting her head around now try to figure out what I'm telling her. She is learning so quickly. And she has dug up so many old bones in the yard, probably buried by Murphy when he was still around. And the critters.....I think she got a chipmunk this morning. I gave her 2 boneless chicken breasts for lunch and she inhaled them. And she's a great watch dog, always listening for noises outside. Someone rang my front bell today and thought she was going to rip the curtains down. I'll have to control the jumping. I'm hoping Mike can find her papers so I can check out her pedigree.
