200 grams to 400 grams for a litter size of 6/7. For one of my litter, the smallest (at half of the weight of the largest) grew up to be the largest dog of all. IMHO, smaller size pups is easier for the bitch during whelping. I have seen several litters from friends who overfed their bitches and/or due to lack of exercise during pregnancy and ended up with bitches requiring cesarean during labour. and most often than not, for inexperience owners, they sent their bitches to the vet too late resulting in death of several puppies. I disagree with funky man's suggestions of letting nature do its job. IMHO, in the wild, dog/wolf and alike may not have the facilities nor resources so natural culling in inevitable. But where we have the resources, I would try to ensure no puppy dies due to my lack of attention to the litter.
