Cee, those tall ones are impressive, but I'm short. I like my horses to match. ;-)

My TWH can appear very tall, but it's really just how high-headed he is and the posture he assumes when he puts on his performance. He's really only 15hh. My Cob/QH (if that's what he is) is only 14.2. As for Chief...I don't expect him to get too big- his sire is 16.1, and I think his mom was 15.3- pretty moderate. He is quite short now, but as long as he gets big enough to ride, I don't care if he stays petite;-) Not as far to fall.

Thanks, Chris- I pm'd you back;-)

Do any of you horse lovers also belong to the MARESTARE web site? If not you have to check it out. Spend most of my winter months on there. :)

I was just thinking about doing that! I need to take new pics of Chief (actually, we need to get him a new name. I hate that name for him but was too busy to change it when I got him). He turned two last week, just came back from 30 days at pre-school and has finally shed his long coat. His coat is WEIRD. It grows in every direction in patches. He looks like a paint or pinto, but all black. Really odd.

Here are our two Quarter horses, The gray mare is English pleasure, her barn name is Rain. The black gelding is Western pleasure, his barn name is Black..... We our very proud of them and have a ton of fun at the shows and bring home lots of ribbons too....IMO Horses and GSD's really go together well, as long as you don't mind having a second job to pay for it all....lol....

Love those Paints and what a beautiful black QH!!! Here are a few pics of horses I have cared for.I don't have a horse and everytime i htink of getting one my friend that has one reminds me of how much they cost to have and that I am never in one place for too long and it isn't easy to move a horse around as much as I move.

My fav stallion Dun It regally He was such a shmooz. I took care of him when I was a groom for a pro reining trainer. He would go in to trot, lope or back to a walk with verbal commands and come when I called him over.He is how a stallion should be.

This sweet Paint is one I rode when I lead people out on trail in Kentucky. Poor thing got cancer and had her eye removed. I guess it is a good thing I didn't end up buying her. She still is ridden though

For Malshep--A Buckskin that was my ex's when I was living on the Navajo rez. There are so many beautiful horses and babys to pick from out there.I could have had a free one. But they aren't free to feed. Hay out here costs $15 a bail. I am use to IL and KY being $3-6.

Last is the horse of my dreams. Fandango Del Sol.The most beautiful Andalusian in the world.
