And yesI agree with goldfinger;  I had a west german showline that grew and grew and grew and finally about 2-3 he stopped growing and ended up at 120 lbs of lean muscle mass;  you do not want that big of a dog;  if feel he grew so big that it affected his life and limbs and definitely affected his agility and stamina.

So  YES I feel the dog will keep growing until full maturity and that varies from lineage to lineage;  some mature at 2 some are closer to 3, especially the males;  I feel the bitches mature earlier in body and mind.  Whatever happens and however he keeps growing good luck with him and enjoy his presence with  you are your family.  Nanci

The main point you made earlier Ibrahim, was that you were lied to. You said it wasn't about if the dog will grow or not (as you might have purchased him anyway) but that the breeder was dishonest.

Regardless if her trainer measured him incorrectly and she had nothing to do with the actual measuring, she should still take responsibility for giving you the wrong information ( or at least a feel good explanation) as height is important in the Standard.

If this was an error I made as a breeder...or if my trainer gave me a wrong measurement that I passed along, I would be very distressed about it, not indignant.

 ShadyLady,

I wouldn't even in a month state or express my own thoughts like you did in correct, simple and precise language. Just as if you gained access to my brain and put what I think of into coherent words. God bless you.

Pharao,

As usual you use logic in the best possible.

Again thank you Nanci & goldfinger

All Ibrahim is simply looking for is an apology from the breeder.  A simple "I made a mistake about the size of the dog.  I am so sorry that I misled you even if unintentionally.  My word is important to me.  How can I or what can I do to make this right?"  Anything along these lines would go a long way to pleasing Ibrahim.  He is not wanting a refund or to return the dog.  He is just unhappy that his request was ignored and then when she did respond she was mad at him for pointing out her mistake.   It's all on the breeder.

If Ibrahim unknowingly bought the same dog from a person considered to be a BYB and that BYB did this to him, that breeder would be crucified for it.......I guarantee this forum would have never given it a rest......But since this person is considered a well respected breeder, seems like there are some are trying to explain or speak for this "respectable breeder".

Surely by now, this breeder is well aware of what has been discussed on this forum......My question is, if it was all an honest mistake and lack of communication between breeder and her trainer, Why hasn't the breeder addressed this issue or at least speak for herself?  Why hasn't she addressed Ibrahim?  It would take s little and something so simple to end all of this......JMO

nonacona,
She sent him an email (only after he posted on here) letting him know how upset she was with him and that she didn't understand his problem.  She said she herself didn't measure the dog and had told him that but at the same time assured him the dog was taller than he actually is and would reach the size Ibrahim was looking for later.  I agree, a simple apology would end all of this.  If she had answered his email to her, he never would have brought it here but he was thinking of the rest of us when he posted it.  He felt she should be exposed for deceit.  Not sure why she is upset with him when it's no one's fault but her own.

Ibrahim,

I just saw the pictures of your dog and he is absolutely gorgeous. There is no other way to describe him.

I hope everything works out for you.

Good Luck

 Right DebiSue,
I believe that Ibrahim, did what he felt was best, and I agree with his course of action......Everyone that is involved in the dog world will probably sooner or later experience something like that......I know Ibrahim is only trying to prevent others from needless disappointment.....

Hope everyone, on here,  including breeders, can learn something from Ibrahim's experience he shared with us......

I've just learned that some people out there will always find fault no matter what they have. I've read the entire thread so I can understand where Ibrahim's coming from, but to put it out there like this on the net is ridiculous and he should be ashamed of himself.

This is my opinion if you don't share it that's ok, I'm not looking to argue.

There are no facts of deception, only differing points on how a dog was measured. We believe Ibrahim, or we believe, "the trainer". This trainer and breeder can be dead right they measured the wrong dog. How can any one tell at this point?

Andrea, come up with something to soothe the soul, you have nice dogs, and it could still work out in the end.
