Brandoggy,
Can you find Red stated as an acceptable colour in the standard?

I think black and brown is the standard color...brown differing to degrees. All dogs with pink papers have black and brown as the color, except sables and blacks of course. I was told that only we in the states actually give then a tan or red color on their pedigrees.
You need to know which lines throw the deeper color and it is a luck of the draw.
I have a litter coming up and hope to get deeper color. My female is from Arminius and Wienerau lines and they are supposed to be known for that deep color and a dark mask.

Sue B, I think you know what I meant, we don't need to get all technical and bent out of shape over wording...
everyone else seems to know I meant a darker pigmented dog, not a light tan one.....It makes it real difficult for those of us who have questions to feel comfortable asking them when certain people get so critical of others...and it seems to be the same people over & over.
Thank you to those who didn't try & make me feel stupid..
Kougar, & Dawnmarie..I may have found a litter, if not I will email you both..thanks...
