LMH, he's my 7th GSD. Born in October.

Spook-- From the threads, I know you're an experienced GSD owner. Would love to know the litter your pup came from, but that would probably wreck your anonymity. How about divulging the names of a couple of the pup's grandparents? That will give me an idea of how much activity will be going on in your house this holiday. Watch the tree---One Christmas, it came down twice. Finally gave up--replaced the ornaments with big red bows. (Don't know about you, but I tend to forget these little things when it's a few years between pups.)

Blitzen, Won't have a litter for a while, but when I do, you are certainly welcome to a free puppy, if you don't mind showlines! :) Shoot me an email. Merry Christmas, and wish I had one left for you now! -Melanie

Melanie, thank you so much. I have had some absolutely wonderful offers of terrific dogs and puppies the last year or so. There are a lot of good-hearted people on these breed lists, you are one of the best. I will PM you.

Schutzhund members might want a pup for christmas....I see nothing wrong with those words in an ad if u happen to have a litter ready to go home in Dec..careful planned chosen researched litters are not to be called "Backyard breeders" Just because a person is not actively involved in a quote "affliated or full membership Club" doesnt make them a backyard breeder. Marketing a dog in advestising schemes is just as important to the "German Shepherd breeder" as the person just breeding a dog, Got news for you, people in the schutzhund want to make money on their pups they sell also, the kids got to pay their way somehow???? I know many breeders and Ive never known of any of their dogs ending up in Pounds or rescue I know some who were stolen and poisened U are suppose to keep track of ur litters and know where all of them are, I happen to have 11 pups READY in TIME FOR CHRISTMAS!

No, Blitzen is a no body.

If the shoe fits.... There are responsible "breeders" and irresponsible "breeders." If you need sappy marketing to sell your dogs instead of selling them on the quality of the breeding then you're probably someone who the GSD is better off without.
