Vm,
In the morning you will wake up and won't remember any of
this ...when I snap my fingers!!!    Snap!!!

Your right.....you need to read the bible and not take everybody's
else's opinion what it means. Let God speak to your heart.....Directly

by VomMarischal on 14 March 2011 - 19:03

Thanks, I needed that.

VM,

If you don't believe in Jesus...believe in the things he did.

The old testament said a Messiah would come before the destruction
of the second temple..The prophet Jeremiah. (Torah)

Rome destroyed the 2d temple in 70 AD.

Vm,

If you like the stories in the bible, you may also enjoy other fiction novels such as Lord Of The Rings, Harry Potter and Little Red Riding Hood. I find the last three to be a little closer to reality, but still full of suspense and allure.

by VomMarischal on 14 March 2011 - 20:03

I actually don't even believe that he existed beyond ancient urban myth.

VM,....the good news

Roman historian....

non Biblical but perhaps proof....

The Jewish historian Flavius Josephus records the life and death of Jesus.

Foot note: a Roman general was to have asked the powers in Rome why they had such fear
for Jesus. He presented no problem that they could see. FJ records this.

Jesus was to all.... a contradiction to evil.

I also don't believe Flavius existed.
There is NO proof. I believe he was another fictional character, invented in the Renaissance.

VM,

His writings exists.....they were translated much later. Dated circa 75AD

They were used to find the tomb of Herod.....historical fact., he tells where it is.

Some people believe we conspired together on this thread.
And there is no way you will convince them other wise.

At last, a relativiely interesting discussion, with (mostly) intelligent contributing valid points of view in intelligible, socially acceptable language.
