Red Sable: I give you due credit for acknowledging that you were wrong to defend Bartmess, while she continued (as some of us indicated at the time) her abusive ways. Clearly, you will probably be a bit more judicious in your future posts regarding such similar matters.
It is not gloating that anyone is doing, and no one is trying to make you feel bad. But, it is taking pleasure in seeing the vindication of Sock Puppet, Hodie, Jackie, Jim, Sueincc, Jenn and others, who were so viciously attacked and heaped with false accusations by the "Bartmess Defenders" on this board. It was, and is, clear that a lot of that support by "some" was simply the vile spewings of "some" on this board, because of their mindless enmity toward certain other individuals-- who just happended to point out Bartmess's actions. 
Those individuals who pointed out Bartmess's actions understood that mentalities of that type do not simply "make a mistake" that they "pay for" and that's it. The character behind Bartmess's actions was extant prior to the conviction and continued afterwards. Bartmess's complete refusal to accept any responsibilty for her action was a clear signal that the behavior would be (or was being) continued.
Similarly, the character of those who took out after Sock Puppet et al hammer and tongs so viciously and nastily doesn't change; either. Hence the, at best, near-wholesale denial of their own statements in black and white (the ones that weren't deleted, anyway 
). No one expects anyone to grovel. But, it isn't really shouldn't be too much to expect "some" to "woman up," acknowledge their conduct, and just maybe apologize to those they mistreated so much on this board. it should not be... but, I recognize those mentalities, too. So, I am neither surprised, nor disappointed. Character will out in dogs, as well as in people.

As far as Bartmass goes, she did horrible things to her Mom and her dogs. I NEVER EVER defended her behavior. However, Members screaming Posts of "Rot in Hell" "Bat Shit Crazy" "Wacko" "Sick" "Crazy Eyes" "Charles Manson Eyes" and so forth does not get through to someone who is mentally ill. She needs Professional Medical Attention. The best post that I read about the situation was posted by Psycht in the First Go Around on Bartmass. If you can find her post, please read it -- it provides insight into an individual with a mental condition (Hoarders). That is all I have to say about the matter and will not address it again. Have a good evening.

Then if you understand the mental illness, then you should understand that she would take yours and the others support and run with it. Call it what you want and spin it how you want. She preceived it as support and it sure looked like support to many.
You guys claimed she could change. How could she change? She never accepted what she did was wrong and neither have you. She denied everything and you are doing the same. It is never your fault. You are to perfect. It has to be everyone else, it just has to be.
I am the only one who actually offered to help her help herself. Did you? Nope, but you sure encouraged and fed her delusions about me.

You would have to take your dog out of the kennel and that alone would put your dog in harms way.
