I knew it would be a neverending political agenda soapbox and that the "winners" wouldn't be based on actually being "best". More like filling in the quota's. (Kind of like a Democratic Convention, come to think of it! LOL)

I am sure the awards were for rewarding talent, not saying there isn't any, but there is other criteria having nothing to do with the craft of movie making that weighed in as much, or moreso in the tallying. A Vox article bears that thought out, too, I am not alone in my thinking.

I watched Walking Dead, instead. I figured the Oscar after party would be enough for me to catch up with any sort of watercooler conversation, and yes, yes it was!

Is affirmative action racist? I never thought as much, maybe you do. I thought it was supposed to give a leg up to level out the top. Some argue that it dumbs it down. I don't know but if the only way I can win is to eliminate the eligibility of my competition, it seems a hollow victory.

I didn't ask what the article stated; I asked what you meant with that part of your post I quoted. You phrased it as your own opinion, not a quote from an article. Why should I look up some article when you, as a supposedly intelligent and educated person, can simply explain what you meant. Is it easier for you to revert to insults instead?
