I'm in NW Connecticut and last weekend saw a beautiful Eastern Coyote.  They're much bigger than the Western ones, much more "Wolfish".  Absolutely amazing critter.

Awesome photo!  I've seen coyotes around here that were nearly as big as a GSD, they are much bigger than their western counterparts.  I saw a wolf with a cub while in Yellowstone but she ducked into the brush before I could focus my camera, bummer.

There are no Wolves which currently roam free in England, But for those interested there are Zoos where Wolves are kept and Animal Parks the most well known one being LONGLEAT this property is owned by the 7th Marquess of Bath. Longleat House built in 1580 and is set in 900 Acres of ground, Here you can see all the animals and birds well most of them throughout the World including a Good family pack of  Wolves which roam free in a large area of ground
 Lord Bath is a great believer in preserving the Animal population from Small to larger species, like Rhinos Lions Tigers Elephants etc, I lived only 16 miles from Longleat  before i moved over to Belgium so i know it very well

I'm in Connecticut, on the NYS/Mass border... it's pretty well up in the foothills, with a lot of undeveloped rugged forest area around. LOTS of deer and other small game.  There's been Coyote's frequent in the area for 10 years or more, and even occasional reports of an Eastern Mountain Lion (Cougar/puma).  While some poo poo the idea there's definately areas which could support them.  Unless someone else knows of a 3-4'+ tall cat ,with a 6' long tail, light tawny color...   Now whether they are decended from escaped "pets" who have reproduced and created a small population, or migrated animals from the North or West is open to discussion... but they're around.  I personally know 3 individuals who have seen one within 10 miles of my house.  (not Kooks either, stable responsible folk).
