hi Diane
i bought a GSD from Ted Hoppe some time back . the dog was from the czech republic. came obedience and personal protection trained.i also went there to do some training with the dog for a few months after he arrived. if you have any questions i may be able to help you with, reach me back channel sumdaybabi@aol.com

Diane if you are not interested in showing this dog don't stress about the coat. Don't trim the feathers you will find that it improves their ability to hear fine sounds, like a mouse under a foot of snow. Be proud of your dog and you have Coated Shepherd it is bound to be one of the best most healthy dogs you will ever own.
