God does not offer salvation to everyone..Scripture does not teach that..The Bible is written to believers, for believers...
Read the Bible in that context and you will have a better understanding of it's meaning..Christ died for His people, not the whole world ...Don't post John 3: 16 as a reference because if you read the scriptures in their full context, you would see that it does NOT suggest that Christ died for the world. Christ died for all of His people in this world this is the context that this verse was written in..You can not read scripture out of context ... Christ's offer of atonement was not simply made available to God's people, but it accomplished the purpose for which it was intended..To call, justify and to glorify His people..
My reply
John3:17-18 Gods purpose in sending his son was not to condemn the world but to save,to give eternal life. Nevertheless WE PUT OURSELF UNDER CONDEMNATION WHEN WE REFUSE TO BELIEVE HIM. WE CUT OURSELVES OFF FROM THE SOURCE OF LIFE WHEN CHRIST CONFRONTS US,WE MUST CHOOSE.OUR CHOICE DETERMINES OUR DESTINY.
God did not come to condemn,we condemn our selves by not believing. Can God condemn a person that He predestant not to believe in ?

I am not contradicting myself...I believe that people must respond, but where you and I disagree, is the means/motivation by which we except or deny the offer of the gospel.. I do not think you have a clear understanding of Gods character..Read Romans and come back and talk to me about..
My reply-- God said to the unbelieve rat the great white throne judgement,sorry son, Christ did not die for you because I PREDESTINATED YOU NOT TO BELIEVE in Him. Blasphemy at its worst. Thats not the character of a holy God. Deanna you might as well state that God took away his choice to believe. This just seems unbelievable to me that a Christian can even think that way. You stated in another post that I realy thought high of my self. Anyy one that can say that God saved them but,predestinated hs neighbor not to believe Is {cant even find a civil word for it}

"The huge difference between the biblical God and the Calvinist God is clear. The biblical God punishes men for rejecting the salvation He
provided for everyone, which all could have accepted by their free will-and punishes them for their sins, which are contrary to His will, none
of which they had to commit but chose to do so.
But the Calvinist God condemns to hell those whom He could save if He so desired but for whom He sovereignly chose not even to have
Christ die and from whom He deliberately withholds the salvation He pretends to offer them—and punishes them for not accepting. Yes,
that's a huge difference."
Deanna Did he really sat that?

• Apostle Peter: The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting
anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
• Apostle Paul: For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men.
• Apostle Paul: This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved.

Does that sound that the bible is only written for believers?

But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel
King James Version Matthew 15:24
Jesus Christ was sent by his father to save Israel ONLY and Jesus stated himself; but appostle Paul went to preach gospel to gentile and in the name of Jesus Christ any gentile could be saved through the blood of Christ.
Believing is a very big step. King James Version Matthew 16:15-17
He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

Sorry, the candidate game seemed boring and this must be the only game left with live bodies.
Also something about a silk purse and a sow's ear.
I'll go now.
