I did find a link that says you can download a free whitelisting app, but when I clicked the link, the app wasn't there, and I don't have time to try to find it right now. I've wasted FAR too much time on this already!   sad

Margaret, I have tried MANY times to get this warning page to redirect me to the forums, and there is a different series of letter/numbers I have to copy each time. Every time I've tried, it has NEVER worked!

This is actually not AVG.

This is a new web virus/spam prevention company that does this.  It is called Cloudflare.  It acts as a man in the middle (they took over the DNS serving for pedigreedatabase )  now they serve their own IP which talks to the original pedigreedatabase as a proxy.

https://www.cloudflare.com/features-security

They stop and question about 0.05% of the traffic,  if they do stop you  it is because they think your machine (not you) is a spam bot or is infected with a spam bot.

So this actually has nothing to do with AVG..

I can whitelist (or blacklist) IP's through the cloudflare interface.

ps. Sunsilver,  you should be whitelisted now.  I took your last used IP and added it to the Cloudflare's whitelist

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Even though I'm not much of a computer geek, I already figured out it was NOT AVG. I don't have a link scanner activated for AVG, so how could it be stopping this link from going through? When I googled for how to whitelist this site on AVG, I saw a post where someone said to turn you link scanner OFF if you were being blocked from a particular site. If you were then able to access the site, it was the AVG link scanner causing the problem.

Hmmm. So, how could something I DON'T have be causing a problem? Obviously, it's NOT!
