There is no motive and no evidence on Knox or Sollecito.
Do you actually believe that link "refresher"? It's a British version of the Italian prosecutors "gut feeling" of what he thought happened and the planned character assination of Knox. Before any of the evidence was
collected, he said that he knew Knox and Sollecito were the ones as they waited downstairs. Even after the evidence was collected and even after it was analyzed again, he still sticks to his delusional
story of how it all played out. Bending his case to fit the (lack) of evidence, but never explaining the lack of part.
If Solliceto also raped her, there would be his DNA. There isn't any. The bra clasp? Determined to not be enough to sample and contaminated anyway, thanks to that great Italian investigative unit.
You obviously don't know anything about the prosecutor's appeal. It has nothing to do with the evidence, but with the legal proceedings only.
Rudy Guede's DNA was all over that apartment, including his finger prints in Meredith's purse, as he stole what he could after he killed her. Oh and they had his DNA on file already...wonder why? And he's innocent as well? Really?
So why were his footprints, fingerprints, bloody handprint & DNA ALL OVER THE PLACE and he ran away on the train, only to be caught in Germany without a train ticket?
You all think the Italian justice system, law enforcement & detective work is so great. lol If you've ever been there for any length of time, you'd know differently.
Btw, Amanda Knox worked her ass off to save the 10K she needed to study there. She wasn't some poor little rich girl who was spoiled, spending mommy and daddy's money
on a EU vacation to "study" and just sitting around smoking pot, driking, doing other drugs and having sex with every man she met. For her to be a participant in a sexual orgy gone wrong is incredibly far fetched.
If you think it smacks of OJ, you've been reading those rags that Piers Morgan probably also reads...he's a stuck up "journalist" and could care less about Knox being locked up for 4 yrs
without reason. Yeah sure only god knows who killed Meredith.

Shadylady, what do you think happened then? To me it looks like the relationship had gone bad, and Knox and her buddies were going to teach Meredith a lesson.
How can she be innocent? Did she call the cops on her buddies? one of which definitely raped Meredith.

Right off the top of my head we have about 6 this last several yeas...the 2 chinese journalists from America: per this log in:

Not all were students, but student, visitor , touring, vacation, working in an Embassy, or even a member of our Armed forces, they have\ ended up in jails to spend many long terrored days waiting .
That is all I can think of , from memory.
Americans are not liked in many places and many of them are held for days and months . In Mexico there are many still there , waiting for American Counsolants to do something..
Many american student has gone to Europe, foreign countries on grants, to universities, but they went to study and learn and kept their noses clean.
It matters who YOU associate with when you get to a foreign country, and if you do not abide by their rules and do not be ultra strict about your AGENDAS you will end up like Amanda did.
Whether she is GUILTY or INNOCENT, her life is on a long , road to rehabilitation which will not be an easy one.
Her parents stood the Test of TIME for sure

There is no evidence that puts Knox and Sollecito in the house on the night of the murder, no murder weapon matching the wounds to Kercher's body, none of Kercher's DNA on the knife retrieved from Sollecito's house (the DNA the Italian authorities originally said was Kercher's wasn't even human!) and no motive. Most importantly, there is nothing whatsoever to even hint that such an act is in Knox's character.
The tabloid article linked to is a nice little fairy tale but that's all it is. If someone wants to suggest that a story Amanda wrote years ago is an indication of her guilt, maybe they should be taking a hard look at the prosecutor because the story he made up is a lot more lurid than anything she ever penned.
Finally, the suggestion that smoking dope turned them all into sex-crazed murderers is too stupid to even warrant consideration. There's a reason people laugh at the movie Reefer Madness...because it's ridiculous.
Maybe, just maybe, it wasn't Knox that was the little trollop but Kercher and maybe she just picked up the wrong guy that night. That scenario is every bit as likely as any of the others.

Everything here is nothing more than mere speculation-period. Was Amanda running a little wild in Europe at 20? Probably a bit--as each and every one of us would have been...or did, at that age. Could there have been some animosity between roommates? HELL, YES! Everyone who has tromped off to a boarding school or college can identify with that one. That doesn't mean anyone was going to resort to murder.
Does Amanda know more than she has told? Possibly. Will she make millions from a book and/or movie deal? Probably. Has her family incurred massive expenses supporting her and financing her legal fight? Undoubtedly. And, that is precisely where any "profits" she makes from this will go.
As for Americans staying home, rather than studying abroad--BS. If anything, we need MORE Americans studying abroad. For every four nitwits "hiking" in Iran er uh Iraq, uh.... , there are thousands of Americans studying productively in Europe, Asia, South America and the Middle East. More power to them!
Keith, you make an excellent point. Young women often think that normal security concerns evaporate in a "college town." Some find out the hard way that the "safety" of a college town is relative and often illusionary.
