Seriously though, of all the social networks I think Twitter is the most monitored. I say this because during Irene, there was a Twitter account set up by someone named HurriicanIrene. @ one point during the hurricane this person Tweeted come out and give me a big hug. (lol) It was about 3:45am I couldn't sleep anyhow with all the howlin' and racket soo I decided to do just that, then Tweet my experience. About 3 minutes after I Tweeted how crazy Irene is, I got a phone call from EMI telling me to stay in my house, don't go anywhere, danger zone etc. Then about 5 minutes later HurriicaneIrene Tweeted who was the stupid idiot who went outside to give Irene a hug, and said they got him in troubles. (lol) Ya ok, he had 70,000 followers in less than 16 hours and I was the only stupid one ? I find that hard to believe. (lol)
How would EMI have gotten my cell phone number that quick if not from my social network profiles or how would EMI have known I went out side ?
Anyhows, I think you have a point there. Either way, I kinda like it, now I know when I Tweet something all the right people are monitoring and it could someday maybe save my life.

why do you think pay phones have disappeared.
Why do you think broadcasting went digital.
All forms of communication are now so that they can not only be monitored electronically, but they can be cut off with the flick of a switch.
How did they get your number you ask,
your in the database.
Moons.

At first when I mentioned this to others they said I was paranoid, Twitter is down etc. Then others noticed over time and eventually it was confirmed. There's a large group of us now that must use a constant contact type app 4 cell phones while at events. (same as Twitter but not public) The last time I used my Twitter at a Rally or Event was the Dance Party @ the Jefferson Memorial (months ago) when I Tweeted the police have automatic weapons pointed at us. Since then, no Twitter for me at events. (LMAO)
I'm ok with it though, as long as I can Twitter to and from the events and anyother time I'm happy, I have alot of friends and family following me especially when I travel, they wanna know details, times, places, problems, everything (lol) etc. Which leads me to believe who ever it is monitoring cares about my whereabouts and commentary .. just not when I'm at an event. LMAO
The app I use now at events I can post and forward other posts but not outside contacts.
Twitter is fun, I'd feel like I lost a best friend if I couldn't Twitter Tweeps. (lol)
